I have the factory heated grips and for me they function very good,
They have 5 heating positions, that are shown in the dashboard.
I mostly use 3, 4 and 5 were a little to warm at temperatures around 6 - 7 °C in the morning.

......I look forward to hearing how you get on! For me, compared to the Integra, the Forza felt like riding a toy for the first few weeks, the light weight was a revelation, the lack of power from a standstill is something I still miss.... Sorry but if you put your foot in front and not on foot pegs, and you have both front and rear brakes on handlebar , then that is the definition of a scooter So every hand gear change Vespa or Lambretta ever made really wasn't a scooter? And don't forget the Heinkel Tourist with the 4 gear hand cha...

A piece of plywood about 10 x 10 cm [4"x 4"] and about 1 cm [3/8"] thick will also do the trick and you can easily store it under the seat

I just don't understand how people can come up with such [stupid] idea's, the complete CVT is covered for a reason by the manufacturer.
Sure it looks nice but spend a little more money and buy / make a transparent cover to protect the CVT and yourself if you want to show the CVT assembly
