Scooting around the Highlands of Vietnam - Picture Thread
As per fish's request I'm putting up some pics I've taken of, and while riding the Golden Gal, aka Ron Jeremy, in and around my town in the Highlands of Vietnam (Coffee Country), day and night, rural and urban. Kind of a mishmash of photos - so if you see one that piques your interest ask away... I ...

Re: Seat - stay brown or go black?
Soon as I have saved $1020 I'm throwing the key back at the boss, and buying me just that.Mel46 wrote:$85 × 12 = $1,020... one year of renting just bought you a used scooter in good condition.
And this 2012 model (a bit old) can be had for on or about said price.

Re: 46 cents for a gallon of gas today....
Here in Vietnam it halved in price to 51c/litre for 95 unleaded.
A pleasant surprise when I last filled up.

Re: The 2019 Black Stallion - Made in Vietnam
Fish - the mechanics work day in and out with bikes at dedicated bays with all the goodies for doing their jobs, so yes they are good. But I've discovered a guy, through a friend, that laughed at the prices the Honda dealership quoted for a full service, replacement of rear shocks and exhaust. He re...

The 2019 Black Stallion - Made in Vietnam
For a mere $2100 I can pick up a 2019 PCX150 at my local Honda dealership. The particular one they had in stock on the showroom floor was this Black Stallion - what a beaut at a great price. Once I bounce back from the C19 financial crunch I might just be getting one of these - I think the colour op...

Re: Seat - stay brown or go black?
You lease a 2013 model?? The 2020 models are out. You could probably buy a 2013 model over there for next to nothing. Here in the United States a fully upgraded and pampered 2013 model, like mine, would probably sell for $2,000. I bet that you could cut that in half over there, plus that particular...

Re: Seat - stay brown or go black?
My boss is tighter than .... we'll leave it there. He won't pay for any repairs on the bike (except for the new fuel pump and battery, which caused great resentment). I've replaced a couple of bits and bobs, and a rear tyre (which he won't pay for) and had the exhaust repaired - all at minimal cost....

Seat - stay brown or go black?
I've got the 2013 PCX150 with the rather rubbish seat, but since I lease it from my boss I'm not going to go overboard on upgrades and repairs. However I will need to get the seat recovered soon - currently it's brown. Would you recommend keeping it brown, or going black? https://ibb.co/300LkRB <IT-...
