Re: anti theft measures for a Honda PCX 150 other than an alarm

Does the PCX-150 have any kind of point to put a chain or cable that was designed for anti-theft. Like a ring somewhere on the frame, etc. Or do you just try to feed it "through the bike" somewhere. I don't see anything in my Owner's Manual. My bike is a 2015.

Re: Sound for helmets

Well I have run into an issue with my SENA 5. For some reason, when I take a phone call (not too often, but still), it is not picking up my helmet mic for some reason. I can hear the other person in the helmet speakers fine. I know the boom mic is good, because my wife can hear me fine on intercom....

Re: Tires and age of tires

Thanks, I found that under the seat. Same as my manual, but the manual states it kinda funny. "With more than 200 lb of added weight". But fully loaded, as the label says, they show 33 front and 36 rear. I think I will keep them at what I was using on my old tires, 33 F and 41R. I just thi...

Re: Tires and age of tires

One more thing, maybe someone can help with. My old iRC tires had max press indicated of 31 F and 44R and whenever I checked press, that is what I set it to. Now these City Grip 2's both say max press of 45. Should I set my pressure to that. The shop that put them on had them around 32.

Re: Tires and age of tires

Just got my City Grip 2’s installed on my Honda PCX-150. Felt odd at first, but by the time I got home I guess I was getting used to them. The salesman at the motorcycle shop said these tires are rated for 10 years (if need to replace for time vs. miles). Hope that’s true because they were about a y...

Re: Tires and age of tires

Thanks, looked that over, still trying to get an understanding. So those weights you mention, would the weight load increase with a slower speed? For example, the very fastest my scoot can go is 65. And does it need to include the weight of the bike and if so, then is that factored for how much of t...

Re: Tires and age of tires

So I just did a little searching for the City Grip 2. How important are all those numbers? Obviously the rim size (14) is absolutely important, but the other numbers like I see 110/90, but not 100/90. Or I see different numbers and letters where I have 46P and 57P. Like on Revzilla, they have a 90/9...

Any info you can give me on getting the same tires o...

Re: Tires and age of tires

I will list exact type I currently have tomorrow. What did it cost for front & back and did you have a shop install them? Like to have an idea what I might expect to pay.

About 3400 miles. A 2015 PCX 150, that I bought in Jan 2020 and it had 725 miles on it then.

Tires and age of tires

Hi, do I have to worry about my tires "aging out" on my PCX 150. It is a 2015, which I bought in Jan 2020 and it had about 700 miles on it. So I figure it had the original tires. Now, almost 2 years later I have about 3400 miles on it. And if i am right about the tires, they are pushing 7 ...

Re: Cupholder for handlebar

I wound up going with Barefoot Willie's. I wanted a full cup vs. the open frame of drink2go. I considered RAM, but decided against the moving, always level, tech. So far the one I got seems fine. I bought a travel drink can to use just on the bike. With a thin coozy around it, it can't move much in ...

Re: Cupholder for handlebar

I'd say "Pleather." I don't think that came off any kind of animal. The Cheeky Seats cover is vinyl I believe, but it's held up well enough in the four + years I've had it. The pull string wore out, so I had to staple it in place, but otherwise, no concerns. My Honda Dealer also said &quo...

Re: Cupholder for handlebar

whitenoise, wife & I just got back from a 2 hour ride in our area, over to E of Brooksville, then back thru Brooksville, stopped at a store on N end of town, then home. I do plan to keep looking for a drink holder, something I can use to sip at stop lights etc. and also securely carry a drink ho...

Re: Cupholder for handlebar

honkerman, do you know what material the stock seat is made of? I asked at Cheeky Seats but all they said was they think theirs is better, and it might be. I just wanted to know if the stock seat was somekind of vinyl, a faux leather, or even actual leather. whitenoise, I actually added the tall win...

Re: Cupholder for handlebar

whitenoise, I just did that with a water bottle the other day. Rode to a medical appt about a half hour away and I needed to be able to take a pill when I got there. Then I picked up a quick lunch item after the appt and just drank the rest of the water.

Re: Cupholder for handlebar

well, Ram mounts makes a cupholder adapter. it works...sort of. Yes, I'm thinking about getting the cupholder, mostly if I ride out and pickup lunch, sometimes I want a shake, but not sure about getting it home w/o spilling in the trunk. If I wanted to drink coffee, water or a soda, I'd probably br...

Cupholder for handlebar

I got a great holder for my cell phone, from recommendation on this board. RAM Mounts. I was thinking of getting a cup holder that can mount to the handlebar. Want something good quality, that will hold secure on the handlebar as well as securely hold the cup, maybe with some mechanism that adjusts ...
