Re: Making the rear brake pads last???

Just thinking about this, to test if the rear pads stuck, no need to go for a ride, just put on stand from cold, rev a bit for 2 or 3 minutes, then stop and see if disc is hot, would that work...!? But maybe the disc normally has a slight contact with pads anyway، and that's normal, and that gets th...

Re: Making the rear brake pads last???

Well, I have read all about this rear brake pad issue and changed it the first time at 13k km, almost worn out complete at that time.... However, kind of forgot about it and as it's not possible to see those damn pads easily unless openned, I didn't bother, thinking I would go for a full service (24...

Re: Forza 350

In case you don't know Google Translate app has a camera option that you can point to any text and it translates quite well, best is to first download the Thai language in full via it's offline menu option.... Failing that try to find the manual in PDF or other formats online, then maybe a way to tr...

Re: Security

Here in Thailand me and my friends have occasionally forgotten our key in ignition and left it on the beach or in the mall parking even...! Finally scrape the Forza on a curve...!

Well, as it's very quiet on the forum do I thought I post that I finally scrape the Forza on a curve today.... ! I've been pushing it a bit too much lately as had no idea of the limit, also the new Pirelli Angel Scooter tyres have been so good, so today passing a BMW 320, that wouldn't let me pass o...

Re: Michelin City Grip deal thoughts?

I say totally pass, my bike 2016 had original Dunlop tires until early this year and there appeared fine cracks on it even it had almost half threads after 10k km, it was also very hard and very slippery, and skiding on occasions, I strongly recommend only buying one year old tires at most - not wor...

Re: Kick stand spacer/ pad

I too have to double check sometime...Here I go to the beach a lot so sometime there's sand and gravel or uneven surface, it's not a 1st world country with perfect roads you know (! lol), so I think something like this will be useful, I put it on the wish list... , thanks for posting.

Re: Oil/gear oil

But most people say that the STOCK oil smells like gear oil!! It's a pretty distinct smell, so then the question becomes... Why does Honda recommend something different from what they use from the factory? Because Honda wants to save money when you take the bike to them for a service, but still cha...

Re: Tuning the Forza 300 CVT

@Old Scoot I gained more acceleration instead, on the hills here it comes handy... I hardly ever driver at 135kph, mostly 100kph... I'm not concerned with slight loss of fuel consumption, it's really nothing in the big scale of things... I wish I could get more acceleration and top speed, but it's a...

Re: Coolant over flow?

This is definitely not right, these Forza are just like cars, I have no idea where your coolant is going, quite a few possibilities...! But if no leak to outside , God forbid it could leak in the engine... 3 years ago we had this on a car that I shared with friend, as coolant would go down and engin...

Re: Tuning the Forza 300 CVT

When I had all 6x21g original rollers I could do 85mph (~138kph), then at that speed on the flat I was at 8200rpm... No with 3x17g and 3x21g I can only go to ~135kph but I'm at 8500rpm... I don't think my bike has more power to push RPM any further. I'm kind of content, of course you always want a b...

Re: Tuning the Forza 300 CVT

What is your top speed with Malossi kit...!? I assume this has both variator front plates with 12g rollers...?

I put 3x17g (from Xmax OEM) with 3x21g original, average 19g, a bit better on acceleration but lost about 4 or 5kph on top speed....(all else original)

Re: Coolant over flow?

I think yes, and the engine will blow up subsequently... ! well , joking aside , it will cease eventually... I had that happen to me once on a car 35 years ago, fell in a deep pothole at night that could not see, cracked the oil pan at the bottom, oil leaked out so quickly it was game over in 5 minu...

Re: "New" 2014 Honda Forza

All the above, mine was 2016 and almost new last year, I changed oil and oil filter only and rode it for 6 months, no problem... Transmission oil change is a good one, brake fluid not so much if brakes work well and fluid color is clear and yellow/golden and not cloudy... But watch out for hard tyre...

Re: Now, you're talking

The price of Forza 750 will be in the range of X-Adv 750, if not more, just very expensive, not in the same category... I think ! Forza 350 is priced about the same as 300 here in Thailand, I think the 300 will be discountinued and replaced. But due to Covid it's not selling much here in Thailand, I...
