Re: Fork Oil Level?

Hi and welcome, I am going to do the same job for the first time (ordered some Castrol fork oil 15w) and in accordance to many youtube video review, more convenient way seems to gently remove the internal spring without spilling any of the old oil, measure how deep in millimeters the oil level stand...

Re: YSS Shock Absorbers

Hi Erik,
I expect the delivery in a couple of weeks, should not take longer, I will be glad to share the results with you.

In the end I ordered from Brixiamoto in Italy which had a slightly better price :)

Regards,
Adrian

Re: CVT Carter destroyed

Just back from a test ride after have changed all parts plus a fresh spark plug, what a difference, now go up to 64-65mph when before were topped at 58! Remain a noise coming from the clutch side, most probably one of the face set ball bearing (91009KVY961): turning the tyre in reverse does no...

Re: CVT Carter destroyed

Hi all, Finally I have an update after long time, sorry for that, I was waiting to get my new impact drill (thanks Lidl) and a 22mm nut socket :) I've easily removed variator and clutch, nothing was loose or moving, bush pulley has been a pain, stuck and quite rusty on the inside, so after tons of W...

Re: CVT Carter destroyed

As advised cover removal has been tricky but at least I've been able to open, inspect and clean what it was possible without a CVT holder tool to remove Clutch and CVT. I used Break/Cluth cleaner and a microfiber cloth. The picture is the final result of the cleaning process, and it was extremely di...

CVT Casting arrived (55 euro shipped with gasket too), sorry but Carter is the name we commonly use in Italy.

I will inspect CVT in the weekend, clean and attempt to check what's wrong, I will keep you posted..

Re: CVT Carter destroyed

I see what you mean Iceman, saw many video on Youtube on how to proceed, but I don't have the tools to proceed on my own at the moment. I just got the original Honda Carter at a decent price, for sure the Pulley & belt should be changed, as the Rollers, Clutch weight possibly, if not the ball be...

Re: CVT Carter destroyed

on your first image it looks like the fan blades have been catching against the casing ....Has the bearing failed? Can you hold the big nut and move the fan and shaft sideways ? does it wobble about ? Yep, I've noticed the same detail, so or the central nut has not been properly screwed or they use...

Re: CVT Carter destroyed

Considering the color of the old Oil and how consumed were the Brake Pads, I really think they barely serviced this bike, but now it's too late.. I also flushed radiator fluid and changed tyres, but now clearly my main concern is the CVT and Brake Shoes in the back, later will check valves clearance...

Re: CVT Carter destroyed

Well just a 2nd hand scooter I got early this year. I changed on my own engine (10w 40) and transmission oil (75w 90) as front pads and air filter so far.

There is a clear noise coming from Cvt, most probably the half pulley if not a ball bearings too, but without opening is difficult to say.
