Re: New member from Utah

The one thing that I think you will find that you will need to fix or replace right away will be the seat. It looks nice but if you plan on doing any riding for any length of time the seat will get to you. Also, the replacement windshield will end up being a must have after awhile. You will want to ...

Re: powerbypcx seats?

The question concerning how the Burgman 400 and the PCX 150 compare is relative. I am bigger than my wife and the 400 is great to me. My wife loves to ride it also, but she looks like an ant on a big flower on it. For long trips you can't beat the Burgman. But for getting around town it is cumbersom...

Re: powerbypcx seats?

I have an entirely different seat from powerbypcx.com but the one thing I noticed was that the plastic frame was different from what is on the 150. That may be the reason it can be modified to so many different formats. We bought the one that sits very low because my wife is short. Some of the other...

Re: ? for PCX150 owners

Just to add my two cents worth again, my wife and I went 142 miles round trip yesterday on our scooters and she was ready to go again today. She loves her 150! We were doing 55 mph all the way to the Alabama border with a strong head wind, but had to hurry on our trip back because we had to meet som...

Re: Sym Maxsym 400i ABS

I have to admit that the picture of the MaxSYM 400i looks great. I don't know much about it. How high is the seat from the ground? Is it a Chinese scooter? I ask that because I have friends who have had Chinese scooters and had a tough time getting service outside of their area, like when they went ...

Re: Today's Quick Pic

What year is that bike? I passed a Honda 500 while cruising along the other day and I was really surprised. I had one back in the late '60s- early '70s. My brother did a cross country on one. More power to him. Hard on the back, and no wind relief such as a windshield either.

Re: How-To: Install a windshield

Wow!! That is definitely the way to do it! I have travelled all over the USA but not on a bike. I had a hard time with 8 hours on a bike yesterday so I can't imagine 6 weeks. Of course, I have an excuse in that I have had 5 back surgeries, but your hubby had an excuse too, so I am amazed and encoura...

11,000 miles?! Wow. I thought I was tired from my 80 mile trip today. I can't imagine going that far on a bike!

Re: How long you been riding?

Dinamasu wins on age and experience. Still, he is right. Years riding don't really count for much. It either means that you have learned or that you are very very lucky. There are very few long riding fools, which tells me that he learned early about riding defensively and safely. Congrats to you! K...

Re: New Member from Northern California

I had one of those once upon a time and I hated it. It turned out to be basic transportation for me but not something for fun. I finally got rid of it and bought a Honda 500. That was fun.

Re: How-To: Install a windshield

Now you know why I am experimenting with the Plexiglas. I bought the standard Giving windscreen for my wife's PC and it just wasn't tall enough. If I figure this extent ion out I will post a how-to, if anyone is interested. We went riding today for 65 to 70 miles and my wife was very very happy with...

Re: Want a PCX but prices are crazy around here

I paid a little over $4,000 out the door not counting whatever we added extra, such as clothing. The msrp is $3449 and they don't have any wiggle room on that. Then there is shipping AND setup, which is them taking it out of the crates and assembling it, putting in fluids, and test driving it. I hav...

Re: How-To: Install a windshield

Yes, take some pictures of that Ermax. I had thought about getting one of those before I purchased the Giving but I hadn't seen any reviews on it. When I purchased the Giving I was trying to find a screen that would give my wife wind protection. I thought that size would be adequate for her since sh...

Re: How-To: Install a windshield

Now THAT article is interesting! I haven't seen that one before. Today I went to the Japanese website someone here suggested (http://japan.webike.net/) and found an item there called MRA X - creen Mounting kit. I like it. I ordered it and am going to continue my experiments with it when it arrives. ...

Re: How-To: Install a windshield

It has more to do with not being battered by the wind. We love to ride but my wife is not use to the constant pounding of wind, so I am trying to make riding more enjoyable for her. She has only ridden dirt bikes and is new to street riding, especially for extended time, like 2 or 3 hours.

Re: How-To: Install a windshield

I didn't know where to post this so this seemed like as good a place as any. I bought my wife a Givi windshield but she says that it is still too short. Before I go out and buy yet another, taller, windshield I thought I would experiment with what I have. When you see this picture keep in mind that ...

Re: Honda PCX - Back from First Ride

hatingoilmoney, if you are going to ride in all sorts of weather with the pcx I would suggest the tall windscreen like maddiedog has. My wife is only 5' tall and we purchased a Givi windscreen for her. She complains that it doesn't stop the wind from hitting her at helmet level. I am experimenting w...

Re: Accessories for PCX www.powerbyPCX.com

By the way, we have one of their seats on our PCX150 and my wife loves it. Remember though, they do not come with the rubber seal around the underside, so order that from bikebandit. Also, the ones that look low, with a back support, are low. A helmet will not fit under the seat if you purchase one ...

Re: Honda PCX - Back from First Ride

Hitting the button twice is my habit also. Still, for some reason, my Burgman sometimes refuses to turn off. I plan on having it checked when it goes in the shop, but until then I check and double check to see if that worked after I come out of the turn. My wife turns off her signal just before maki...
