Strange behavior of rear drum brake

Hello, and welcome aboard to the strange train. I have a long time issue which bother me a long time now. The problem area is the drum of the rear wheel, and prob. the drum brakes itself. It all started 2 -3 years ago, maybe after a service i had, where i felt a strange brake behavior. Imagine going...

Re: Grind Noise from back wheel while low speed and hitting

There is no way to just look at a clutch bearing to tell if it is bad, aside from taking it out of the assembly and trying to spin it. A quick test is to put your bike on its center stand, ignition off, and spin the rear tire backwards. If you have resistance and a growling sound, it is the bearing...

Re: Grind Noise from back wheel while low speed and hitting

One question, i ordered the parts except the clutch bearing, and have mechanic check things out. But, how do i see a bad clutch bearing that is ready for replacement? What cost should i expect to buy it fom the Honda dealership in a EU country?
Thanks!

Re: Rear Brake surge

After my mechanic changed my tires and shocks, (and told me the rear brake pads would last forever on this thing), The rear brake feels like its grabs then lets go then grabs and lets go like an out of round drum on an old truck that need to be machined down. I took it back and he put new pads in i...

Re: Grind Noise from back wheel while low speed and hitting

First I would suspect the clutch bearing. Then after that is replaced I would say to look at your rear brake pads. Remember that the PCX has rear drum brakes. I would also suggest that you check and upgrade your rear shocks if you are going to ride 2 up a lot. Get some YSS adjustable shocks so that...

Re: Kilometers on tires

Anyone have experience with Pirelli Angel Scooter tires vs Michelin City Grip? Today was the 1st day with my Angel Scooter tires, they replaced my Diablos. I put over 200 miles on them, all in one day. The Verdict is ________ I like the Diablo line better, I stand by what I have said before. The Di...

Re: Kilometers on tires

The rim looks OK. That may be paint of some sort on it, but it doesnt look bent. You might be able to clean that scratch up, but if not, I wouldn't worry about it. As for the tires, I don't see anything wrong with them. They don't look dry rotted and it looks like, from the top picture, that you st...

Re: Kilometers on tires

I thought I would help you with pictures. My Michelins are almost brand new, so I had a time finding a wear marker. The first picture, if you look closely, shows the faint outline of the wear marker. It becomes prominent when the tire wears out. wear mark almost visible.jpg This next one just shows...

Re: Kilometers on tires

Hello again. So i finally changed them because i noticed a lot of slipping. I still didnt found any arrows besides the ones on photo. At the tyre shop they told me companies no longer put arrows which indicates wear and in generally they need every 2 years change. It costed 120 euros 133.8018 U.S. d...

Re: Kilometers on tires

Thanks for the replies. But, is there a number? In sites of manufacturers it says 5 years but that applies for cars right; I went through manual and it says for the mark but I couldn't find it. I'll look at the tyres and I will come back.

Kilometers on tires

Hello I am new here and I think I am here to stay. So I live in Greece and I have the 12/2016 model and I think it is time to change the tires. But I am not sure if I should do it now or at October. They are not slippery for most situations and have 7000 or (a year of use) kilometers on them. I use ...
