i don't like using the side stand but the potential cost of getting fixed i like even less. its out of warranty so i'll just manage without it. it can be a weight saving mod!

theres no oil leak and the colour of the metal in the break indicates it been broken for some time. can't see any cracks and its just had its 10,000 mile service. so i think it'll be alright - *crosses fingers*

My pcx is a week over 3yrs old and the centre stand mount snapped this morning. The left side bracket has sheared clean in half and the pin holding the spring on has sheared as well. Had to take it off because the spring wouldn't hold it up.

Thanks for your help - as im in the uk i dont seem to be able to find a local stockist - looks like a trip to honda! yeah im not worried about someone stealing my fuel just i dont want someone putting stuff in the tank or robbing the fuel cap for fun! i'd much rather have a locking filler cap rather...
