Re: Opening seat on Forza 300 with a suspected dead battery

It saddens me to say that as from today I am no longer a proud Forza 300 2019 owner. I ended up claiming through the insurance and they have written my baby off. A really sad day, I even cried this morning

Re: Newbie

Hi Forzy,

I like the look of the sat nav. Did it come with the mounts or did you have to find these elsewhere? Also how did you connect the power lead, I assume into the glove box with the 12v connector?

Cheers for any info

Mike

Re: Opening seat on Forza 300 with a suspected dead battery

Aye Forzy, it's booked on Tuesday. I'll post here the details. On a side note I rode it to work and back today which is approx 50 miles. I didn't notice anything bad. It tops out at 90 mph. I'm 6ft tall and will look at getting the 4" taller screen as at this speed it really smashes into your h...

Re: Opening seat on Forza 300 with a suspected dead battery

Thinking about it, it's probably not 10 degrees but it is very noticeable so I'll guess it at 5 degrees

Re: Opening seat on Forza 300 with a suspected dead battery

Hi Forzy, I'd say it is about 5 to 10 degrees out. I'm rubbish when it comes to mechanics but I found a diagram on a web search it looked like there may be a possibility the main column is clamped and it could be that can be adjusted. I'll book it in at the dealer and if its going to cost too much I...

Re: Opening seat on Forza 300 with a suspected dead battery

Thanks for the helpful replies. I clipped off the front plastic piece. The one directly under the ignition dial and used the black hex thing to pop the boot. The battery was totally flat, I've had it on charge for 24 hours and its starting fine now. I ordered one of the battery trickler things today...

Opening seat on Forza 300 with a suspected dead battery

Hi all, I have posted this in the general section. Hopefully it's in the right place About 5 weeks ago I came off the Forza when I was going round a bend. The bike just slipped under me and slid , hit the curb and tippled over causing cosmetic damage to both sides. Some people stopped to hep me and ...

Re: Just order my new Forza 300 :-)

Very nice looking. It appears there is a taller windshield than on the older Forza? Hi m8, the windscreen is electrically adjustable. On the photo its on max setting. It can lower another 140mm by a button on the left handlebar. Im 6ft tall and found less helmet turbulance lowing it on the motorway...

Re: Just order my new Forza 300 :-)

In the UK it comes with 2 years parts and labour, datatag security and 2 years free AA cover which is a nice touch. Just need to get an alarmed disc lock for when in the garage now

Re: Just order my new Forza 300 :-)

Forgot to add I love the gloss black colour scheme. Really looks class to me.

My riding jacket and helmet have high vis strips so im hopefully visible to other traffic. I also ride with full led lights to be seen as well as possible

Re: Just order my new Forza 300 :-)

My initial thoughts were how smooth it is and it is very nippy, easily overtaking traffic where required. I didnt push it as the tires are new. Not sure how many miles before they are bedded and the coating gone. Also I want to take it steady while I run her in. Taking it steady she seamed to accele...

Re: Just order my new Forza 300 :-)

I picked her up this morning and rode her straight to Beal area where it's quiet with country roads to get used to her handling. I parked up and took my first photo

Edit
It looks like the picture is too many pixels wide. Any idea how I reduce this on an Android smart phone?

Re: Just order my new Forza 300 :-)

Me too! But I can't wait to see your '19. I love the look of the old model . They had a 2015 model with 1011 miles on the clock. I was so tempted but it was in white and I prefered the new one in black. I'll post after I pick it up :-). When I walked in the shop I saw a CBR 650R in matt grey. If I ...

Re: Just order my new Forza 300 :-)

Hi all, It's a bit of a boring post I know....But I just wanted to say I ordered a New Forza 300 in Black. I don't pick it up until a week on Saturday (30th March) but I'm so excited. It needs building up still so I'm guessing on a couple of miles on the clock. This is the first time I've bought a ...

Re: New Forza 300 - 1st Impressions

Not sure if they will ever again make a 300 with as low as seat height as the 1st Forza. The trend is not, I am borderline riding the newer ones my inseam is 30 in. Its the saddle width that matters a lot, I have ridden GSXRs, CBR600 and ZX6r just fine. The R6 is a problem, at 33 inch seat it be ca...

Re: New Forza 300 - 1st Impressions

Is the fuel guage accurate now? Not absolutely sure although this morning the "range" indicator told me that I only had 6 miles to go (one bar showing on the gauge) and when I re-fuelled it took 8.12L so there were approximately 3.4L still in the tank. The manual states that one bar means...
