Re: Valve clearances on a new 2018 PCXneeded adjustments

You're right...."You You"...If it blew up tomorrow, [done riding today....too stinking hot!] it's been a sweet ride...........wouldn't feel cheated ........even a little.

Re: Valve clearances on a new 2018 PCXneeded adjustments

Nothing special.....oil changes @ 5k intervals ..........air filter replace @ 15 - 20 k . 3 Variators boss w/new rollers/slides. Replaced the clutch bearing. Drive belt 3 times. High/ low beam wire and switch replaced. Think mpg has improved because of summer blend [fuel] and the extreme hot weather...

68 k and still running fine. MPG is actually improving........first sign of rough running/starting......will fiddle with it then.

Re: Wendover UT ride.

Yup............windshields aren't perfect. Use to feel about the same as you, canthai. Have gotten a preference for them in my later years.
Know it can be quieter w/o them......ear plugs help there. Occasionally I've tried the short shield.........but end up back with the taller one.

Re: Wendover UT ride.

Thanks for the report and pictures. Did some long distance riding in prior years.............anymore.....an hour or so is plenty for me. Was wondering if the windshield or lack of a taller one, may have played a part in your experience?? I have the Honda tall shield on my Forza and prefer it. Would ...

Re: Oil change

First oil change to the last, have drained the oil from the cap holding the oil screen, [with scooter on side-stand]. After 10 minutes....opened the "normal" drain plug [underneath] to see if there was any thing left.............there wasn't. Works for me........and still on the original 0...

Re: Your Favorite Rides/Places to Ride

Thanks Still Thumps...remember riding [car] in S.E. part of Ohio many years ago and thinking why haven't we heard about this. Not to be missed if near. Hope you get the opportunity to do the west coast ride. Have thought about "fly& rent " ........That's as far as I got! Not a fan of f...

Re: Your Favorite Rides/Places to Ride

Don't stray as far these days...........most of my riding is in the S.E corner of PA. Plenty of Horse, Cattle, sheep, goat Farms along with beautiful Homes and landscapes. River roads parallel R.R. and generally nice paved, lightly traveled roads help to make for a pleasant ride. I call it scooter the...

Re: Has the Forza died?

Wow Dave........wasn't so long ago you were riding by snow .....off to the side . Didn't realize you had to deal with that kind of heat up there. Amazing about the Forza milestone! Might have a shot at 100 K... with the PCX, if I live long enough?? Forza......forget about it. Sorry.........can't hel...

Re: Scooter cranks but does not start (sometimes)

English is fine..........Agree about the dealer.........intermittent problems : { Surprised you could push start it. Can you test the battery?
If it checks healthy............a loose connection on the battery sometimes can cause what you are describing.

My Forza is a 2014............. There are fuses under the cover above the right glove box on the 2014. May be on the 2013?? Two screws hold it.

The guys at Partzilla or a Honda Dealer may be more helpful. Folks at Revzilla too. Full gasket set might be worth looking into??
[sometimes a better deal]

Is there enough hose [if damaged on end] to cut the bad piece off and still have enough? If not, just take it [hose] to the auto parts/hardware store.
Should be able to fix you up with what you need.

For safety.....you want the weight as far forward as practical. On the other hand.........it comes down to making your passenger comfortable too.

Re: 2013 PCX - Install Shad Top Case - Honda OEM Mount - help!

Yes...Attach the Shad box to the Shad mount and place it on the Honda [rack/mount/plate]. "Mark" its location close to the seat, w/o interfering with seat opening. Remove the Shad box from mount [Shad mount] so you can align/locate it [on the markings on Honda rack] and drill. This worked ...
