Re: Front fork specs

Ok. Thanks for the replies. My results. I had a local mechanic from the Hanoi PCX club try 2018 shockies, that didn't fit because the front fender mounting points are different it seems. So unless you want to change that as well, no luck there. Second attempt was a set of new shockies from the 2016 ...

Thanks. Pity it doesn't list the outside diameter of the upper fork tube. Any other suggestions where I might find that info.

Still like to get the sizes from helpful members... If it's not too much trouble...

Front fork specs

Hi all, I've been looking at upgrading the front forks on my 2010-11 PCX (Vietnam) as presently they are shite. I've considered the pd valve upgrades as mentioned now by a few people, however I'm limited in choices as online ordering and delivery is never reliable. Well the delivery side anyhow, and...

Re: dr pulley rollers / sliders

Don't know about the malossi or the conti spring. But the torque from putting in (alternate) 13/14 gram rollers delivered much better uphill torque and pull at mid-range speeds (easier to overtake with a squirt) on open roads. But I don't get anything like '68-70' - more like 50-55.

Re: Fitting new LED spotlights

That was suppose to say change the socket but autocorrect did not like what I wrote. Amazon any other places also have switchback bulbs. Just search online using the term "Switchback led bulbs". Yes. We have the indicator for the top gutter-side and driver-side area. I will look to do tha...

Having trouble attaching as couple more photos to the post so this is an addendum. And a couple that show the difference in spread. of the parking LED to the old main headlight.

Re: Fitting new LED spotlights

Your job looks neat. Did you retrofit a new fitting for the lower parking lights? The only thing I like to ad to a wiring job is enough slack on the loom so that one multi-pin connector can be used to disconnect a whole assembly making removal of a panel easier.. I hate having to disconnect multiple...

Anyone fitted a keyless remote ignition?

I'm considering the options for fitting a keyless ignition for my 2010/11 PCX. Not having to sweat about losing the hard to replace Honda oem alarm (I only have one of the damn things and I break out into a cold sweat worrying about misplacing it and the drama of getting the whole ignition system re...

Re: Fitting new LED spotlights

JHCIAB. Fat chance my ex-steel-workers mitts are going to get up there then. I'll see what prevails when I get the triple tree bearing adjusted soon. I'm pretty sure I had access to them at that stage. Thanks for the warning. If I have to resort to my own devices I'll resort to the tried and tested ...

Re: Fitting new LED spotlights

Hot side (power). The ground is common to all circuits. It goes directly to the frame, no matter where you connect the ground wire. As far as the original headlights, I totally agree. That is why I purchased some HS5 bulbs that don't have the painted "hood" on top. These: flytop-HS5-Motor...

Re: Mixing different roller weights

I just put a mix of 12s and 13s in my 2010/11 PCX. I found that it suits my need for low/mid to high/mid range accereration needs. Due to the power band/torque available around the 30 - 60 kmh speed for overtaking. I've yet to see what it's like on uphill gradients. I'm hoping it performs well as I ...

Re: Fitting new LED spotlights

First of all, were the problems you described on the newer bikes or those that are in your bike's age? I ask this because the newer bikes have LED headlights and circuits, which can not handle as many add-ons as the older bikes. Secondly, if attaching directly to the bike circuit so that the lights...

They look easy to manufacture as well. But I really want to get something that allows me to get both wheels off at the same time. Time to dust off the tape, grinder and welder. ;)

Thnx. Have seen a lot of different types available. Just wondered if here was specific template to fit the undercarriage rather than just go generic. Looks like I'll have to go to the drawing board. thnx for the tip.
