Re: Yam XMAX-anyone got one? Opinions?
Ok, i'll be in the xmax this coming week. Sold my pcx to a neighbor....excited....Selling the CTX too.....it's just too big and bulky for me, the Xmax is right in the middle weight wise. (Pcx=300 lbs, ctx=500, xmax=400) I think you'll be happy with the XMax. I was originally looking at the PCX, but...

Re: Pictures of New Honda PCX
So do we have the perfect PCX now? What will the American version be like? Can we brighten it up with glossy color? As far as the top box goes these boys ride their bikes daily. Champions of high milage they need their storage space. It would be hard for me to put a top box too. A backpack with a t...

Re: Comparison to other scooters
I ended up putting a deposit on a 2019 PCX with ABS. For anyone looking at the 2019, I was told beginning of August for mine and I heard end of September for new orders. So if you can find a dealer with one already ordered, it'll probably be around that time. I was hoping for it to come with the new...

Re: Comparison to other scooters
I don't want to get into politics but if there ends up being a tariff war the price may go up, in which case I would suggest choosing the least expensive one. Remember that the objective is to get you one a scooter. That may mean that you won't get everything that you want immediately. That doesn't...

Re: Comparison to other scooters
On the subject of wind, its just a matter of learning to relax and let the scooter sort itsself out. The more tense you are the worse the effects of the wind will be. I've ridden a PCX in strong gusting crosswinds of 50-60mph without incident. I dont know if you rode a pcx with a windshield or not,...

Re: Comparison to other scooters
Well I finally had a chance to test a 2018 PCX and I can say it was just as easy to ride as the SMax. First thing I noticed is the PCX seemed to have a little better acceleration. Handling and comfort seem pretty similar from my short rides, but I feel like the PCX has a little edge in slow speed tu...

Re: Comparison to other scooters
:P Hi jcl! Welcome! Good that you're doing your homework both on and off this forum. Smart. I'm from NY and can locate several brands of scooters, Vespa, Piaggio, Kymco, Honda, Yamaha, Suzuki, etc. During the picking process consider a Shop's distance from your home. It's a plus to be close for ser...

Re: Comparison to other scooters
Hi jcl and welcome :) What to recommend for your scooter shortlist depends on where on the globe you are, not all models are available in all markets. From your use of language I'm guessing USA...? For a city runabout the current PCX with ABS is fairly hard to beat, but if budget is a consideration...

Comparison to other scooters
Hi, I'm looking at entering the scooter world after deciding my current motorcycle is too much for me. Usage would be riding around town and back roads (55 mph). I've been looking around at different dealers and used sites and it seems the Honda PCX 150 and Yamaha SMax are easiest to find here. Ther...
