Re: Vaccine mission

Had my second Moderna last Tuesday. Next day I didn't feel 100% but wasn't sick either. I took my wife to a doctors appointment, she can't take the second shot because of a reaction.... doctors order.

Re: what was your previous bike?

My first bike was a 2009 50cc Honda Metropolitan that I rode 3400 miles. I sold it to buy my current 2017 PCX . Most likely my last bike since I turn 72 this year but I still ride I'm not planning on quitting for a few more years now. Just wish I had started riding earlier in life but at least I did...

71 years young here, I have the same problem as Vito. No one to ride with. The wife doesn't want to ride, she would rather sew. Go figure.

It's sunny and hot here in Missouri. No rain for a few weeks. I haven't mowed for three weeks now. The grass is brown mostly and crunchy.

Re: anti mask ?

Both my wife and myself wear a mask when we go out to a store. It's common sense to wear one. If I am riding I put a mask in the glove box so all our vehicles have a mask for both of us. The masks are washed weekly also. Overkill, I don't know but I would rather error on the side of caution than not.

Re: Roll Call

We are still doing fine. We have made our trips to the store for supplies and the only thing we have a hard time finding is bread machine flour and yeast. I've heard from folks I know in the mid-west that flour and eggs are not always in abundant supply anymore. Eggs I can understand but flour make...

We are still doing fine. We have made our trips to the store for supplies and the only thing we have a hard time finding is bread machine flour and yeast. We have the regular flour and yeast but it's easier to let the machine do the baking. I finally got the PCX out after a long winter nap. Started ...

That's one crazy house. Beautiful scenery there if one takes the time to just look around. Thanks for showing it to us.

Re: Rod Serling's pond & playground

Seeing that harder snake and Mel's mention of copperheads reminded me of a time I was doing construction inspection on a bridge project. It was summer time and hot in the valley where the bridge would be constructed of course. I was watching several copperheads swimming in the creek below where I wa...

It's snowing here in Missouri tonight and tomorrow so no riding for several days now. We are supposed to get from 3 to 8" in the next 12 hours. I guess I'll break out the snow shovel for the second time this winter.

Re: No dice on Halloween ride!

I just wish it would stay either daylight saving time or standard time. I read an article that claimed it affects the health of individuals, causes more accidents for about two weeks after a time change and does not save that much energy. I'm just glad we are both retired so the time changes don't a...

COFFEE!! I love coffee. I like tasting the different types of coffee. It is interesting. We get to sample different ones when we go to Trader Joe's, which is a little over a block from our house. We can also go to Whole Foods to smell the fresh coffee beans from various roasters, some even local. W...
