Front Fork Seal Replacement

I was upgrading my front forks to the YSS upgrade kit Y-FCC31-KIT-01-009 as both my seals were leaking and while the forks were out, why not upgrade. The problem I found was there were no You Tube videos on replacing the seals so I had to use the service manual. I was able to pull the forks and dism...

Re: Need Help - How to change fork oil please!

To get that first retaining clip out, I wrapped the top of the fork in a rag. gripped it firmly in the vice and then used an F-Clamp hooked under the vice to gently screw down the end cap.

Re: Tuning the Forza 300 CVT

Yeah, I felt I lost some top speed with the 17g, but the 19g I can still get 140-145km/h indicated on the speedo. That's what I got with standard rollers. I can't remember exactly how fast the 17g went as they were only in for a short while. I'm about to do a service, so I'll pull them out and check...

Re: Variator weights

But I bet fuel used goes up. No free lunch. Not worth the time involved. Trivial improvement. Yeah you said that before... It takes 20 minutes to swap them out or even better, swap them out during a service while cleaning the variator. The improvement isn't trivial at all, it really frees up the en...

Re: Tuning the Forza 300 CVT

Ok, so after a year or so on the 19g sliders, I reckon they are the perfect weight for me. Better acceleration and more response mid range and top speed is the same. Fuel economy is no different and my last highway runs over 400km I got 3.5l / 100km. or 67MPG (US). Around town it runs maybe 4 to 4.5...

Re: 4 Pin connector for OBD2 device

They sell the software for remapping of Forza ECU here including cables with connector for a special offer of ~US$55 here in Thailand... I like to remap mine but don't dare do it myself, the recommendation is to buy another ECU, new or used, then play with that, any issue, can just plug back in the...

Re: 4 Pin connector for OBD2 device

I'm only using it to see what data I can get out of it not to remap anything. I think you'd need something different to do that. It's still in the post at this time. I'm going to be able to log data as I drive, mainly air fuel ratio if possible.

4 Pin connector for OBD2 device

Hi, Can anyone tell me if they have used the 4 pin to 16 pin cables and hooked up an OBD2 device?? I know there is a DTC Diagnostic Trouble Code connector but unsure if an OBD2 will work on it. Also, it is supposed to be near the battery but I think it is elsewhere, anyone know?? I don't really have...

Re: Variator weights

I'll post here as people will probably see this before the main thread. On the Forza it takes under 30 mins to change them out. If you have power tools, it would take 15mins. I have tried 17g and 19g and found the 19g to be the best for me. They are cheap, I paid about $50 AUD for both sets delivere...

Re: Tuning the Forza 300 CVT

OK, so last week I installed the 17g Dr Pulley sliders. Well, the revs and noise increase at WOT. It feels more responsive and at low speed it is much better such as riding up ramps in car parks or really slow traffic. I have yet been able to give it a good run on the highway and I haven't done a 0...

Re: Tuning the Forza 300 CVT

Cheers yes I have seen what you are talking about. I'll make sure I install them correctly. I have also ordered 19g ones while I was at it so I can see which suits me best. I ended up ordering from the factory in Taiwan. They were quick to reply and their English is good. $77 USD including postage f...

Re: Tuning the Forza 300 CVT

This is all so interesting.

I tested tonight on my stock 2015 NSS300 Forza and at WOT from standing or moving is about 6000rpm.

I am thinking of ordering SR2318/6-17 or 23x18 17g Dr Pulley Sliders.

This is the correct part??

Re: New CTX700 DCT ABS - excited

I want one but they are rare in Sydney Australia. DCT model is what I want. Shame no one bought them as they are now discontinued here. I may find one or go to a DN-01 until I can find one. Looks great.

I'm starting to like it. I tried to find one in Thailand but they weren't in stock. However, I'm now looking at the CTX700D or even a DN-01.

Re: Comparison to other scooters

I've had a Honda Dio, other names in other places, essentially a 110cc Honda. Great little city bike but no good over 80Km'h or on a hill. The PCX 150's I have ridden in Thailand are great little scooters. More getup and go, nice ride and handling, a bit more storage as well. Looks great. Last one I...
