Re: Burning oil after a change

Are you using a measuring cup to refill the engine?

How much oil is it burning every 1000 miles?

Re: Burning oil after a change

How much did you overfill it?

I cant imagine how just changing oil would cause the bike to burn oil. Is it smoking a lot? What weight oil are you using?

Re: UK New pcx for old?

The newer ones also have a 4-valve head vs 2-valve head.

All 150+ models are highway legal.

I have a 2017, but I been eyeing the 2024 but I'm waiting for more color options. I just don't like the wheel size difference but maybe it rides better.

Re: JASO MA2 or MB engine oil question

If you use MA oil , fuel comsumption would be less than MB 10w30 Why would it be less? Just googled it. "MA oils are suitable for all applications. JASO MB: Oils for motorcycles with an automatic transmission (scooters). These oils deliver the needed friction performance by added friction modi...

Does this Mount fit in the middle of the handlebars ? I’ve tried others and they don’t seem to fit
I don't think so. There is kot enough clearance between the mount plate and bar. I offset mine to the left.

Re: Need Help Honda PCX 2016 Tire Size - Need Wider Size Tire

You can run same size front and rear but I would recommend running a larger rear. Gives a more stable ride at speed.

Re: Rear brake totally slack??

How worn were the shoes when you removed the rear wheel? Check to see if the cable is seated properly in the holder where it threads thru the mount on the swing arm.

Re: I added a light weight Lithium LIFEPO4 battery (2022 PCX)

Personally, I prefer original battery. Still have my original Factory Battery in my 2017, never trickle charged and sometimes sits for months without starting. To say Lithium is a performance mod is a stretch. You will never see faster acceleration or better top speed. Might maintain a steadier volt...

Re: Reduced top speed and lowered mpg

How many miles are on the Bike? Did he replace the rollers with stock weight or go heavier/lighter? As for the MPG. If you are getting 25.7MPL/116MPG, I would not be complaining. Thats incredible. Loss of 10mpg when you used to get 127 is not a lot. That can change between fill ups just by being mor...

Re: Polini high speed variator....... crap

I literally spent 6 months mixing/matching, and fine tuning my Honda Metro every single day on the way to and from work. I learned a TON about CVT tuning and applied that to my PCX. How I discovered that 10.25g weights give me the optimal acceleration, but still got full belt travel. Ideally you wan...

Re: Polini high speed variator....... crap

Mark the Variator with a Sharpie and see if you are getting full belt travel. You have to determine that before moving forward. If you are getting full travel, then turn down the Variator/Driveface. If you are not getting full belt travel, then go heavier on weights. If you still don't get full belt...

I wouldnt consider this so much a performance mod. Are you saying the couple Lbs shaved from the battery make it faster?

Re: Polini high speed variator....... crap

Given the smaller 13" rear wheel, I would assume that you would need taller gearing (larger diameter Stock Variator) vs the 14" rear wheel with the older models. That would explain why the older model Variators lower the top speed.... Like emax22 said. , 127mm, vs the pre 2021 120mm Mon-Ey...

Re: Polini high speed variator....... crap

Ahhh I see what you did to modify the stock driveface.. lol Didn't even notice at first. So my idea behind the belt being too short is that if its too short, the belt is not riding all the way to the edge of the Driveface.. Use a Sharpie Marker and mark up the faces and then go run it. Post some pic...
