Re: Stock OEM Roller Weight?
I run NCY Variator with 11.25g sliders. I started with 13g sliders and started shaving. It accelerates pretty hard. Hovers around 8k rpms up to around 50mph then settles down. Still tops out over 70 so I didnt lose any top speed.

Re: High Revs at low speeds
Thank you, yes I studied about cvt rollers quite a bit last night and am thinking along the same lines now. It really is quite annoying at low speeds compared to the low rpm of other scooters or even the pcx I rented a few months back. I havnt gotten to top speed as yet but it accelerated strongly ...

Re: 2015 PCX 150 sounds like a Rod Knock
If you think its lean, Instead of buying an O2 sensor maybe buy a wide band. We used a Sniffer to tune our 50cc Carb Honda Engines. I run open intake and exhaust with stock ECU and dont get knock. Judging by your old plug, the white ceramic should be brown. You dont really pay attention to the elect...

Step 1: Get a tach to see if its actually reving high
Step 2: Check and see what size weights you have
step 3: Install heavier weights if you want lower RPM's
Whats your max speed?

Is it two bolts per shock? The uppers look like nuts with integrated washers.
Each shock has:

Re: Shock upgrade
Its pretty straight forward. Remove the storage bin and seat. Once you remove that its just 2 bolts per shock. I can take some pictures of the what bolts and retainer pins you need to remove in order to remove the storage bin if you'd like. Its rather easy, I do it all the time. 20180308_183143.jpg

Re: most miles in 1 day on your forza
Just a general calculation. Assuming you can continue to ride at an average 60mph with a tank range of over 290miles. That means you would be filling up every 4.83hours. Lets round it down to 4.75 hours to compensate for fill ups. 60MPH average @290mile tank range = 4.75 hours til empty (4.83hours a...

I ordered some Takegawa adjustable shocks and lowering springs. Its pretty stiff so would not advise those. lol I mainly got them bc it lowers the bike

I have been wanting to do this for a while now. Does the ring around the toggle light up too?
Thanks for sharing Gil. Wonder if the install will be more simple on my LED PCX

Re: Electric supercharger install
I was always under the impression that either with nitrous, or a super or turbo charger, that the bottom end of an engine had to be fortified before it was viable… (With forged components) Can the PCX take the bottom end load? Thats a myth. I work for a pretty reputable Performance parts Manufactur...

Don't waste your money buddy. Unless you carry a 16v battery strapped to your back independent from the bike.Mikes150pcx wrote:Here's the electric supercharger. About the tuning I'm going to watch the the lean/ rich very carefully!
Spend that money on a good variator and weights, Instantly 5-10mph faster.

I often ride the highway to visit my folks. Granted I cruise 60 with ease, I wonder how much easier I would be able to maintain 65+ with help of a screen.
In for results.

Re: Electric supercharger install
This is going to be entertaining.
Pretty sure you wont maybe 3PSI of boost from a 12v "fan"
Anyways, with some tuning you can maintain 70 without this. lol plus you are going to lean out the engine if you make any boost at all.

Re: Acceleration test
My top speed with the NCY and DR.pulley 13g weights before was ~71 MPH. I didn't use the Dr. Pulley weights because they looked worn out, but I might just try them out again. Cool results Gil. Was curious how stock variator would stack up. Stopping competitions would be more relevant to scooter rid...
