Re: ADV150 Variator Tuning Results

I put the stock variator and drive face back in with 18g rollers. I was able to maintain about 64-65mph on the highway now drag limited on flat road. I hit the electronic cutout at 67mph down a slight hill. It does feel like I lost some of that low end power off the line, but still feels better tha...

Re: Improving PCX rear drum brake

Isn't rear braking "feel" poor due to the Combined braking system? You want good brake feel, Eliminate the linked braking system and run a single independent rear brake Cable. Its the only way you will improve the "feel."

Re: ADV150 Variator Tuning Results

You were correct. My stock top speed going down a slight hill was 68mph hitting the limiter. After the NCY variator change it become 65mph hitting the limiter still down hill. On flat road however I am drag limited to around 62, not tucking. I was trying to keep everything the same while testing th...

Re: ADV150 Variator Tuning Results

See if my logic makes sense here... With the current setup (NCY variator/driveface and 18g rollers) I can hit about 61-62 mph on flat highway (drag limited) If I put in the gear set that makes my gearing taller for more theoretical top end I would think that taller gears would require more power to...

I have the Same Kitaco adaptor and the same bluetooth OBDII scanner which does not work at all.

BRM2, Have you attempted to repin the 16 to the 4 corners like the diagram shows?

Re: ADV150 Variator Tuning Results

As shared on this thread: https://hondapcx.org/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=11327&start=20 The gearing on the newer PCX and/or ADV, the gearing is different. I would recommend changing out your gears. Order a gear set from a 2014-2018 and you should be good. 13_18.png This is a newer model. 19.png

Re: 2019 NCY Variator/Drive face upgrade - no improvement at

I didn't catch that you installed the drive face too on your PCX. I wonder if that means that the stock variator and drive face is better than the NCY variator kit. The yellow coating also fell of on the my old NCY variator. Its not that, Its just that the newer models have shorter gears so even wi...

Re: Rollers or Sliders

Anyone running 10g rollers in their NCY variator? If yes, does it affect fuel consumption and top speed? Naturally You will lose some MPG. I cant say exactly how much since my tires are larger than stock so I cant get an accurate reading. Would 5-15mpg really be a deal breaker to get much better ac...

Re: 2019 NCY Variator/Drive face upgrade - no improvement at

Here is the only thing i found comparing years. This is the gearing set from 2013 vs 2018. Definitly different. Hey look at that, the 2019 is even shorter of a gear. Now we know. So what you can do is spend less than $100 for a full set of gears from a 2013-2018 bike and gain like 10mph. 13_18.png 1...

I'm sorry, to be completely honest, I don't remember if it did...

If that's the case NM on that part lol. I wonder if 2019 has a different gearing ( I Doubt).

Re: Effects of Extended Use At/Near Governed Top Speed

If the PCX engine that is limited to let's say 10000 rpm, is allowed to spin at 25000 rpm, there is high chance it will explode within minutes, or maybe hours but the parts will wear out so quickly that it will not run poorly. That's a YUGE stretch there. No engine that I know with a certain RPM li...

Re: 2019 NCY Variator/Drive face upgrade - no improvement at

Check your tire pressure. Also look into a tach. TTO is cheap enough and its a simple reference to see what the engine is actually doing. Another thing to consider is the Drive Boss. I never compared it on the PCX but I know on the Ruckus, different bosses are different length. That plays a huge rol...

Re: 2019 NCY Variator/Drive face upgrade - no improvement at

First and foremost, your bike only has 1,000 miles on it. It hasn't broken in yet. Don't expect it to really show you what it can do until around 2,000 miles. I dont know if I would agree with this. I threw on my NCY with sliders and NCY Driveface on my 400mile PCX and it was smashing 70+ with ease...

Doesn't work on 2017. I bought the Kitaco Adapter and the ELM BT scanner. No data is transferred thru the Kitaco. my ELM scanner works flawlessly on my car. I also tried another plug and play aRacer Display but no data. Waiting to hear back from aRacer for a firmware update to get it to work. index....

Re: Is this battery tender safe to use on my PCX150?

Would it be dangerous to leave it plugged in just incase? I'm new to owning a scooter and want to take as best care of it as I possibly can. Tenders do not overcharge. Think of a tender as a maintenance device. It keeps the battery at a healthy Voltage level. You can leave it plugged in for years.....
