Re: Anyone added any supplementary lighting?
Urbanian, if you want to go the DIY route, these are SUPER cheap: http://www.amazon.com/Strip-Flexible-Light-Waterproof-Motocycle/dp/B004UTW1KE/ref=pd_bxgy_e_text_y I’m not afraid of DIY, I built the apartment we live in with my very own bare hands (except I did wear gloves a lot too). But having a...

Re: Anyone added any supplementary lighting?
Those LEDs are amazing for increasing visibility. Saw a bike a few weeks ago with two strips of LEDs running down the fronts of his fairing. Wasn’t much of an addition, but he was lit like a Christmas tree! Saw him a quarter of a mile away; not because his lights were bright, but because he stood ou...

Beautiful! Congrats!
If I didn't already have a 150 I'd want one now!
Unsure whether I own the standard variant or the deluxe variant...

Good point. I don't think I've ridden farther than about 35 miles from home.qed wrote:

Now I’m getting the picture! You get to ride feet forward, I get to flat foot at the stop lights. Perhaps the average PCX rider in Thailand is closer to your height and has to lean his bike at the stops. I can’t ride feet forward because my legs are too long. I always wondered why so many complained...

Re: Whats the furthest youve gone on one tank?
“Whats the FURTHEST youve gone on one tank?” I can’t say I know the answer to that. I suppose I could say I’ve made no progress beyond filling the tank with gas. When it’s empty, I just go back and refill the same tank with more gas. If your question was “What’s the FARTHEST you’ve gone on one tank?...

Re: PCX ?
My valves were out of spec at the first service. How did they look at the second service? Is it possible they were out from the factory? Do they go out of adjustment easily? The emphasis Honda puts on valve checks would suggest it is important. I don't want to sound alarmist, but I am curious how d...

Re: PCX ?
At 600 miles my mechanic said the valves were right on; no adjustment needed. Does anyone have experience with valves going out of adjustment? At how many miles do we normally see maladjustment? Would anecdotal evidence suggest how often valves should be tended? Has your mechanic told you what adjus...

Re: What sort of mileage are you guys at??
850 miles since early August.
My Honda was purchased to reduce mileage on a big van,… and for fun. Now that the weather has cooled, recreational use has fallen off sharply. I’ll probably ride a bit more if my windshield ever shows up.
I expect 3000 miles annual usage going forward.

Bobby Carver is a great guy, a great mechanic, and is passionate about scooters. My scoot is in good hands with him.

A lot of enthusiastic self-tuners here. Congrats all. I have the amazing good fortune to live 1.5 blocks from one of the most highly respected indy scooter mechanics in the region. Dropping off the scoot whenever, for whatever, and knowing it is in the master’s hands, makes my riding experience just...

Re: At a red light and it wont change
. The cops here don't pull over scooters ever -- it's not worth their trouble. It's true! Knowing the law for 50cc is different for 150, I've asked cops on various occasions how much I can fudge between the two. They always tell me they have better things to do than harass scooters. The last ...

Re: At a red light and it wont change
Depending on local law, you may be able to proceed legally through the stuck red light. Here in Missouri the law says if you are riding a vehicle too small to trip the sensor, after you wait for a reasonable length of time, it is legal to proceed as though you were at a flashing red. I’ve only gone ...
