Re: 2015 PCX 150 sounds like a Rod Knock

Hi, I had a kind of noise like the youtube link you posted, on my precedent PCX (PCX 125 2017 V3) The noise was less than the video, but it appears like you explain : slow speeds no noise, decelerating no noise, full throttle no noise, but metallic rattling at slight acceleration or cruising. I trie...

Re: Citygrip 2 tyres

Yes i used a torque wrench, the torque specified is 118 N.m (11.8 daN/m). They recommend to put some oil on the wheel nut and the threads before tightening it.

The impact driver will be useful for removal, but i'd be scared to use it to tighten

Re: Citygrip 2 tyres

I replaced my old 12-70-14 City grip rear by a City Grip 2 recently. The design is slightly different, with additional cuttings on the sides, but the center part is quite identical. I removed the rear wheel by myself too, that was easy, but be prepared, the wheel center nut is locked tight. I advise...

Re: PCX 2019 bigger wheels on older PCX (2016)

If you need some measurements, i can check on my '19 model PCX (It has ABS but i don't think it changes the disc position) Good thing for you, the 120-70-14 tire has a smaller diameter than 100-90-14, so it could help clearance with the little fender near the motor. The rear brake don't seem to be d...

Re: Longest lasting rest tire?

I changed my rear Citygrip on my pcx 125 v4, it lasted 11000km (6800 miles) with mostly city riding, with a lot of acceleration/braking. FIY, the CityGrip 2 is on the market now, that's the one i have. The tread design is very similar, but there is some additional cuttings on the sides. It is also l...

Re: Waiting Impatiently for My PCX Hybrid

The PCX Hybrid is quite unknown on the forum as it is only sold on Asian Markets, so your feedback could be interesting ! It seems a nice improvement from the classic PCX, and the price difference is quite reasonable. Too bad it's not available in Europe, there's so much downhills on my way to work,...

Re: what is this hole?

Not on the European model, ABS only.

But on differents markets, you have the choice between ABS or CBS (combined brake)
So I guess the plastic panel has always the hole in case of CBS mounted ;)

Re: new pcx owner

Hi, congrats for the purchase, after some testing, best and easier way to make the 2019 pcx faster is to change the rollers, nothing else ! OEM rollers are 18 grams (or 18.5, i don't remember). You can put some 15 grams rollers (model on the 2015 pcx for example), it improves a lot the acceleration,...

Re: Buzz from ABS

I got a v4 version, bought in June 2018 in France. I found that ABS buzz quite strange at the beginning as it's a bit loud. After check with two Honda dealers, it appears to be absolutely normal, it's the sound of the ABS system on the PCX. (pressure pump i guess) After 9000km, same noise, no proble...

Re: dr pulley rollers / sliders

Hi everyone, I received my Dr pulley sliders and found the time to install them. After some days of testing and bedding in, here's my report : Dr Pulley Sliders 20x15 - 14g, rest of bike is full stock. - Very good acceleration, no lag at start (way better than 18.5g rollers oem, and slightly better ...

Re: Lean angles and the 2019

Thanks for the input , I got a 2019 model and i was wondering where i got thoses scratches !

I got a bit less scratches on mine though

Actually the tires on the 2019 are wide enough and quite comfortable in corners

Re: With regard to the Brakes

Nope, no CBS on rear brake ! Just a single cable pulling the rear drum. It's like this on european models, and i think it's the same for others selling regions. Actually, i find this system more comfy, the rear seems to be more powerful than with the CBS system, + you can have some nice skids when i...

Re: With regard to the Brakes

Hi, there's no dual brake on the 2019 model.

Right is front only with ABS
Left is rear only, no ABS

Re: dr pulley rollers / sliders

For information, i ordered some Dr Pulleys Sliders in 14gr weight.

Stock rollers are 18.5 gr on my 2018 PCX V4 (French model)
I'm using genuine honda 15gr rollers in stock vario for now, it's already way better than stock rollers.

I'll make a feedback about those 14g sliders when it arrives !

Re: overfilled oil and old oil

I heard that some Forza 125 had some failure to the gearbox bearings due to the too low level of oil in gearbox. Some dealers recommended to overfill a little by leaning the bike to the opposite side. So when i change my gearbox oil on my pcx, i always fill to the max (160ml on v3 or 140 ml on v4) t...

Re: Lifting PCX to remove or work on front wheel

I use a plastic beer cage, upside down. Perfect height, large contact area, and strong enough to support the small weight, cause most of the weight is on the central stand. But it is quite big, so the best would be a strap attached from the center of handlebar to a pipe or anything on the garage's r...

Re: 2018 Honda PCX Performance

Top speed remains the same in 18 or 15gr, around 115 km/h (71mph). I think the malossi variator ratio and the stronger torque spring are designed well for the 15hp of the forza 125, but the pcx 125 with 12hp cannot use it fully. Maybe on a PCX150, but it's not sold in France for permit reasons. Pret...

Re: 2018 Honda PCX Performance

Hi everyone, To add to this discussion, i tried differents solutions to modify the performance of the PCX 125 2018 (new model), because the stock acceleration is smooth but seems a bit slower than the previous model. After disassembly, i noticed that the stock rollers are 18.5g . Quite heavy for a 1...

Re: next size up tyre

I got a 2018 french model, and the new size is 100-80-14 and 120-70-14 rear. It is a significant size change from the previous model and the tires looks way bigger. (i owned a 2017 too) I can confirm the handling is better in corners. (and ABS is a huge improvement) But the rims are way wider or the...
