Re: Engine Siezed Up?
Here is a thought, with high RPM riding there will be some blowby of oil into the intake. I'm not sure how that could happen ... the only intake is thru the carb unless the breather/ PVC fell off. Maybe a blowby the rings or valve guides, but that would result in oil smoke out the exhaust. I dunno....

Re: Tire Inflator Blew My 5A Fuse
If a flat repair kit is desired for on the road use, consider putting a "noodle" kit and a bicycle hand pump under the seat, these small pumps normally fill 80 -100 psi tires, the scooter tires are much less. Be careful with air pumps at gas stations, some of them can toss a lot of air in ...

I've worked on all of my bikes from my first *Honda Ruckus* to the biggest, *Harley RG* I will be honest, the plastics are the thing that scare me the most. Ha! Not to worry, buy a cheap set of "Trim Fastener & Molding Removal Tools" and watch Homie's video all the way thru. The...

+1 on that. It's unbelievable how lightning fast the result of a tire problem can happen.replace my tires according to the thread depth indicators. The risk of a blown tire isn't worth the risk of injury.

But the Silver Wing is more maneuverable (smaller wheels) and better on the bumpy road. (muffler and engine are not sprung) How's the larger/heavier Silver Wing engine being not sprung help it be more maneuverable ...... not challenging you - just wondering. Isn't the goal usually to reduce unsprun...

Re: Mirrors
They look about the same height but wider? The extensions make the mirrors taller but not wider. Perhaps the ideal would be both? How much did they cost? The CB500X stems bend sharper to horizontal so the mirrors are lower & farther out - not a lot, maybe .75" - 1.0" out more. But the...

Here's the CB500X mirrors (on right for comparison) I got from a salvage off Eb*y. A real improvement, I can't say if its better than extensions or vice- versa, but definitely better than the stock ones. https://s26.postimg.org/x2ooouget/PCX_CB500_X_Mirrors_1.jpg https://s26.postimg.org/6vnhsvy51/PC...

Re: First time valve adjustment and plastic removal
Yep, Homie's video is seriously super ...... watch the entire thing first before starting out and then just follow it. As you remove each body panel, maybe want to put its associated hardware in a baggie and label it, makes the reassembly organized with no missed parts. A cheap set of "Trim Fas...

We're going to remember these "bad old days" some day in the future. I'm going to tell my grandkids about fuel-powered engines. I'm afraid this might be correct ..... because I'm not a fan of electric. There's nothing I like better than engines, including Summer evenings going to the dirt...

Re: For those considering a SYM HD200
I've read that SYM made some of Honda's smaller bikes or engines in the past (can't remember which) ..... is there any similarity between the engine that SYM uses in their "200" series scoots with the PCX engine ?

What I calculated so far would be 2 options for me. Oil change takes 800ml. Fist option: I can go 100ml oil stabilizer 700ml of oil. Second option: 200ml of stabilizer 600ml of oil. Mine took less than 800, I've read where others' took less also. Remember the spec says to check oil level with the e...

The CB500X mirrors work a treat on my Forza. Plug and play.....even look like originals....just longer stems. I posted this fix 3 yrs ago. (Discovered this one day when looking at my son's CB500X. Beats the heck out of the goofy looking/cheap extenders) Fish Ta. Right I'm getting some. Me too!! I o...

Yup, I was right. . .Lang was indeed riding a BSA 441 Victor in the movie Woodstock (although only shown twice briefly) and it was the same as yours. Glad I still have some brain cells left to remember that! LoL was he throwing a rooster-tail of Woodstock mud ?? The 441 was made in 2 versions...

PCX on center stand, turn handle bars fully left, eye will fill completely. Back to straight eye will show half full. I assume that for the handlebar & lever clamps in the factory position. I rotated my bars front and then levers & clamps back (even farther than stock) for better seating &a...

Re: Some of my other bikes
....Had 3 different BSA 441 Victors at various times, loved those bikes. People said they were hard starting but they didn't know how to use the compression release. I'd let my neighbors fruitlessly try and kick start a 441, when they'd give up I'd then have my 12 year old daughter kick it over no p...

Here's my 1970 Triumph, "Roxanne". I've had her for about 30 years + / -. She's sweet to ride, almost like she watches out for me, I've never had a close call on her of any type. I've told my wife & kids I'll be seriously upset if she doesn't stay in our family, even if its just in a g...
