Re: God rid of the short Givi and...

I had the short Givi screen, it does fell better however I too had the wind buffeting effect.

I sold it a week later. Works for some I guess but any bigger screen would look too much for the little PCX.

I ride mainly in the city 3-40mph and 1 short burst to 50mph on a short road going home lol

Re: US Version PCX: Lack of Idle Stop Feature

Mine is always on, the only time I turn it off is if I have a 2nd helmet under the seat and it can stop the feature from working or coming back on. Helmet now goes in the topbox, why not use the feature if its there :) But I agree, its no deal breaker and I certainly wouldn't bother wasting time doi...

Guess I'm too hardcore, I run throughout winter except when there is snow or ice.

Longest I've ever left it alone was 3 weeks and started up fine.

Re: 7500 service advice

My service costs about £110, I was told the they don't normally check the valves till about 10k, bike runs and sounds fine so I would leave it unless there are issues. I'm only going to the stealers to keep warranty intact and I've become a bit lazy doing it myself. Once warranty is out, its DIY tim...

Re: front brake feels jerky/creaky when pressed hard

To be more specific, the creakiness can only be felt on my right hand, as in when I apply the brakes. The bike itself doesn't jerk etc I do think its just air in the lines, what fluid should I get for these bikes? I might as well bleed the front and top up the fluid. Squirt a little WD40 where the ...

Re: Givi Tall windshields in the UK, best to order and forge

I think there is a shortage but when I had my pcx, I got my short givi screen the next day ordered from the Honda dealer, they had it in stock but seems pretty much everywhere else is out.

Thinking of getting another one as I short givi was bad for me due to wind noise blowing up my helmet.

Re: front brake feels jerky/creaky when pressed hard

hello, CBS brake feels fine. 2012 (62 reg) done almost 6k miles, yes its ridden everyday. I think it might be air in the front brakes, could be wrong though, if I'm pump the front brake the creaky feeling is gone, only till I move the bike forward then its back again. The creaky feeling is only when...

Re: Keeping visor clean

I have a pair of winter gloves that comes with that blade on my finger and my summer gloves doesn't come with it. I find in both instances where its raining, the visor needs to be fairly clean in the first place to see out clearly, without the wiper blade, I wipe with my gloves. Not really an issue ...

Re: Bike Test Auto UK

Hello, I did an A2 before the module stuff was introduced, so after 2 years on a 125 with no L plates, it automatically becomes a full licence, perfect at the time as it was only going to work and wasn't interested in the bigger bike then. Of course now its been over 5 years, went to 600cc and back ...

Re: Commuting in Winter?

Hello allow me to give my input as I ride in London to the city daily and I'm an all weather rider (been through torrential rain and wind gusts that will blow your socks off!) On all the bikes I've commuted with, the main issue in winter riding is your hands freezing and if frozen, you hands hurt an...

And how many us mpg is that?
That's 91.594 to be exact, I've got higher MPG in the past but that's approx. my average.

Re: oil at honda dealer

Mine uses Castrol but then again all branded oil should be good otherwise it wont be on the shelves.

I think this is the same for fuel, they have strict rules before it is sold to the public, so BP is no better than Shell etc.

Re: PCX on wet floor

riding in the rain is fine so long as you are sensible, less lean, more braking time etc.

I have the original IRC and ride fine in all weather, I think my mental state stops me from leaning like I use to on a sports bike.
