Maybe some kind of frame to go over the bike, then tie rope round and support the front end of the bike by the frame? With the prop under the rear to keep it from tipping backwards?

It is not the cell phone that causes distraction, it is the selfish behavior of the user. Cell phones are not evil, any more than guns are evil or cars. (which "kill" more people than guns...)

The easiest way is to get an inexpensive Casio water resistant watch, remove the strap, and attach it with double stick tape where convenient. Great ride! I'm envious! I was just down there a few weeks ago with the family in the Accord. Wished I was on my scooter instead.

Some of those hills I found were 2nd gear hills, even 1st in places, so you're doing fine to take them at 40 mph.
