Re: Do you hit the corners hard? Go around turns fast?

I worry about myself sometimes because I really like to hit the corners hard. I will come up to them fast, and then break, and then gun it again 1/2 to 3/4 through the turn. I have only had my Honda PCX about 2 weeks, and I think I should be more cautious. But I can't resist the fun. My only other ...

Dont apply brakes mid in there, that's recipe for a skid.

Youre not alone, scoots are nimble and fun in bends. Enjoy and be careful.
Thanks, the tires slipping are my number one concern behind loose gravel. Can you recommend a better gripping tire?

Re: Well I have my supplies for a seat modification

What I like about my modified seat is that I can rise my bun off the seat now when I am expecting a bump in the road. Before with the low seat, I could not do it. Every time I tried to do it, my hand unavoidably twisted the throttle which made standing up dangerous. Now that the seat is higher, I ca...

I LIKE This seat mod!! What material did you use for the cover? I've seen the 4-way stretch vinyl used. I'm very interested, as that is what my seat need to be like!!!! It seems to be a two-way stretch cloth. I have a piece in front of me, and it stretches one way, but not the other way. I will che...

Re: Well I have my supplies for a seat modification

Well you're going to have to find someone else to pick on because I just hit it out of the park. I fixed my seat myself, and I did it in about 2 hours from removal of the seat to putting the seat back on. I took pics as the projected progressed. There is one note of caution. It might look pretty, bu...

Re: Well I have my supplies for a seat modification

Somewhere in there is the name for the scooter gang I want to start. We could just go with 'Rhoid Riders' Here's the Crest... I like it! We could put a small dead head and cross bones if you must. I may never live down that hemorrhoid pad. I knew instinctively it was wrong. I mean it was shaped lik...

Re: Scooter seat position...

It just is a softer transition, but I don't see how scooting back to that sloped area would be comfortable. It would tend to roll one's butt forward uncomfortably. I'm lucky that my legs are ALMOST Asian-short. (30" inseam) I can see why long-legged folks are crying out for aftermarket saddles...

Re: Well I have my supplies for a seat modification

Dang... It was good with the roid rider, bet you put it back :) Saved himself piles of money though. the reason the roid rider looks better than this current set-up is because i unhooked the seat cover in the back, and it is now scrunched up under the pillow case, which makes things look messy. I u...

Re: Well I have my supplies for a seat modification

 well its better than I imagined... good job It is tbh. Although I used to work in hospitals and it does remind me of the covered cadaver trolleys :D Are you still going to get it recovered? I actually did not know this cushion was for hemorrhoids! I immediately took it off. I instead put in t...

Re: Well I have my supplies for a seat modification

Oh well, I have spent the last hour trying to attach pictures. It says they are too big, and I can't resize them. Screw it. Not sure why pic attachments have to be such a headache. Oh no you don't... we must have a picture of the hemorrhoid cushion on the PCX saddle. I assume you have a windows pla...

Re: Well I have my supplies for a seat modification

By going local, Patto can get exactly what s/he wants. Once you add the shipping to the Thai seat (at least, if you add this-season shipping), you are in the same ballpark as the local guy. s/he also wants to get higher - not precisely the direction that the Thai seats look to be going, at least no...

Re: Well I have my supplies for a seat modification

I made an incredibly comfy seat on my Kymco. Used actual seating foam from online supplier, 4 way stretch Sailrite vinyl (see their motorcycle seat rebuild on utube) to recover with, mechanical staple gun, electric knife, spray glue, block of wood and tack hammer to fully seat new staples. Took me ...
