Re: New PCX owner here in Michigan

Hmmm. These's chance they should be ok, but personally I would just go the Honda OEM on the clutch. There are some reputable name brand aftermarket clutches, but they seem to change the performance characteristics of the bike... mostly to the detriment of daily riding. If the concern is getting a fu...

Re: New PCX owner in Michigan

Congrats....flat black the engine pipe with hi temp paint, looks more OEM and accentuates the rest of the malossi. The pipe turns multicolor after use. http://i67.photobucket.com/albums/h307/gersly123/PCX%20stuff/IMG_0512.png Looks great! I do love this exhaust so far, and I'm kind of looking forwa...

Re: New Owner - 2013 PCX

I also am a new owner of a 2013... for the cheeky seats cover - awesome covers. They made me one slightly modified design from their standard PCX covers for not too much extra and I love it. The only thing is I think the stitching will need some sealant applied on the underside. In a heavy rain is s...

Re: New PCX owner in Michigan

Homie: he makes a good point. Loose valves =lots of power and MPG. Tight valves can =a burnt valve (depending on severity of course but a few hundred thousants will not cause issues). Adjust those valves! :) Loose valve (clearance) doesn't lose lots of of horsepower, or horsepower in general within...

Re: New PCX owner here in Michigan

Oh, I like you. Now for shocks and engine mods. Haha. No engine mods for me. I have looked into the shocks though, the YSS and maybe their fork inserts that are similar to cartridge emulators. I'm more than pleased with the performance of the bike with the variator and exhaust. Now I just nee...

Re: so is this the sound of a bad bearing

Yes, that sounds like a bad clutch bearings. I had to replace mine 2 times in 18,000 miles. Yikes, twice in 18k? Did you do the work yourself? I just changed the belt and upgraded my variator at about 3500 miles and looked in where these bearings are... the outside bearing (where the clutch bell at...

Re: New PCX owner in Michigan

Admin will delete your other post. WELCOME! Nice to have members who get in there and get it done. My valve clearance was tight too but I left it hoping to wear it in but your bike has miles by now so good work. Rubber looks great! Your choice of muffler is looking good too AND it seems to have the...

New PCX owner in Michigan

Recently sold my 2010 Elite 110 and bought a lightly used 2013 PCX150 with 3500 miles on it for $1700. So far I am enjoying this thing so much more than my Elite, which was still a great bike. Interestingly, I am getting just over 100mpg based on 3 fill ups compared to the Elite that got about 85mpg...
