Big Bore Kit - Injector Required?

Hello, Its been 5 years since i last owned a PCX125 but next week my new one should arrive. This time i am keen to fit a big bore kit. I will likely go with the Malossi 170cc kit, which includes a FI controller as described here; https://www.malossistore.com/en/gb/aluminium-complete-cylinder-61-pin-...

Re: I damaged my PCX

Agree. My impact gun will go up to 450Nm which is 9 times what the crank nut should be done up to...no way should it be used! For those of you in the UK here is a link to a good variator/clutch holding tool; https://www.beedspeed.com/tool-engine-locking-tool-beedspeed-universal-stainless-steel-p-263...

Re: Forza Vs PCX running costs

^ Those speeds are for the 150 though. A 125 will only do 60 flat out on flat ground but your point is correct - he will definitely be mobile roadblock on anything that's not a quiet side road or in town/the city. To be honest if you have the money for a Forza you shouldn't even be asking the questi...

Re: the best variator/exhaust/drive belt to use for pcx 125

There have been comments about the Malossi belt being poor quality/wearing/snapping.

Their multivar will be good though.

You might want to think about getting their clutch springs too.

Re: wish my pcx was 5 mph faster on hills

55 is achievable unless you are on an EXTREMELY steep incline....you will need to mess with rollers at a minimum though.

Remember it is what it is; if you live somewhere very hilly and have issues keeping up with traffic you probably need a bigger/more powerful bike.

Re: Air Filter question

K&N flows more air. They used to claim power increases of 10bhp by fitting their cone air filters to cars but usually this is based on a massive cc engine (e.g 4 litre) which probably had a horrendous intake design to begin with - certainly on a modern car their filters add next to no power, may...

Re: Malossi 170cc kit for 125

Thanks for the reply and also your comments on my 150cc topic - i didn't realise the 31mm throttle body was only for 164 kits so that saved me making a mistake by going down that route. I have been considering all the options over the last week and think i will go the full 164 kit with 150 head. As ...

Re: Injector Choice for 150 Upgrade

Thanks.

I think i was actually watching your 164 video on youtube last night - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l1947PTV0dc

Presumably that the 164 with cam kit?

Have you had any issue with overheating or is that why you've bought the 150 head (albeit with missing parts) on the other thread?

Re: Injector Choice for 150 Upgrade

Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately there is no 150 kit, only the individual parts which is why i'm asking. I would buy the 164 STD kit but @ £400 I don't think I can get the ok from my other half due to cost :( Its funny you can't recommend as yuminashi as that's another reason I don't want to buy ...

Injector Choice for 150 Upgrade

Hi, After some debating i am going purchase the Yuminashi 150 light bore up kit for my 125. Why? I have watched several videos on youtube of 150 vs 175 and while bigger is faster, 164/175 doesn't look to be that much faster for the extra cost outlay. Well, not for my purposes..i'd be happy with 150c...

Malossi 170cc kit for 125

I've just come across this on the Malossi site; http://www.malossistore.co.uk/alum-compl-cyl-61-pin-13-h2o-i-tech-4-stroke-honda-pcx-125-ie-4t-lc-euro-3-2012-jf47-3117559-hopc1252-M-P It wasn't listed the other week so presume its a new product? Anyway it comes with a fuel injection controller as we...

Re: How do I patch a punctured rear tire? Is it safe?

I have one of those plug kits but not had occasion to use it. The only time i would would use it would be as a get-me-home solution if i was stranded somewhere with a blatant hole in my car tyre. I would not use it on a bike for safety reasons. A slow puncture is not a good reason to try a plug kit ...

Re: Two up hill climbing

Lighter rollers are definitely all you need with that speed limit. Probably the steepest hill i have to go up is the following; http://i129.photobucket.com/albums/p206/u33db/PCX125/steep_hill_zpstl01a36m.jpg I don't know how steep it is in % gradient but with stock 125 rollers (15g) it would acceler...

Wouldn't call the bike a POS;

You've got mega miles out of £30 parts that take well under an hour to swap out.

I'd say thats pretty good

After reading that and trying my dads AGV K3 today it seems its totally hit and miss ov er what helmets will fit.

So i've cracked and bought a Givi top box.

This is after me swearing blind i'd never put one on a bike...times change!

Re: Help a beginning tinkerer!

If its a 125 i would go all the way down to 10g.

I've tried 13g as recommended on here and while it made a difference the bike was not as quick top end as with the 10's.

The 125 doesn't have the same grunt as as 150 so needs to run a bit less weight in my opinion.

Which Helmets Fit Under the Seat?

Hi, When i bought my PCX back in January i dug out my old AGV Stealth helmet for a few rides before realising it was actually 12 years old! I've since changed an MDS 200 flip helmet but there is a problem; It doesn't fit underneath the seat which is a pain when going to the shops! The AGV Stealth di...
