Re: New CTX700 DCT ABS - excited

WhiteNoise here's a site you should visit: www.CTX700forum.com. Great site with tons of info on the CTX700 series. I removed the passenger back rest and added a Viking tail bag for smaller storage needs. Still exploring how to get me a drivers back rest. Think I"ll call Seth Lamb and see if the...

Re: New CTX700 DCT ABS - excited

Glad you're liking your new CTX. Mine is a '14 and the seat is just about ideal. I'm 6'4" with 31" inseam thus tall in the torso. The only change I'm going to make is a driver back rest. I just can't seem to sit straight up for any length of time before I find myself slumped down. It's my ...

Re: Talk me out of a Silver Wing

Forgive me for putting in a plug for a non scooter but here goes. You might want to consider a Honda CTX700 DCT fairing model. Weighs less than the Silverwing (based on 2013 specs I found) and offers plenty of features that make the transition from a PCX very easy. This Honda is rock solid, extremel...

Hang on to your hats boys and girls, you ain't seen nothing yet. The pace of advancements is accelerating so quickly it will become like the old west. Order, social norms, societies, governments, and us, won't be able to keep up. The results will be upheaval like we've never seen. I got no answers. ...

Re: Politics and Music

While I liked most of the popular tunes of the 60's ok, living in NC, what we called beach music was the real deal. Our 'beach music' was not for the surfer dudes. It was music we could 'shag' to. Songs like Thank You John, If I Only Had a Dime, A Quiet Place, It Ain't no Big Thing, and, my all time...

I rode a NC700X dct and found it to be a low revving boring machine but maybe that was because it was a guided group Honda test ride.[/quote] l just moved up to a CTX700 dct and it can be boring or it can be wow! Using Drive mode, it is docile making it easy to transition from a PCX. You won't be su...

I guess I don't understand the connection between the Prestige emblem and PCX's. What's up?

Re: MP Motor Back Rest Seat

Haven't ordered mine yet, just hesitant as I would have 3 seats in the garage and want to be as sure as I can this is the final one.

Here's a pic MP sent me of a similar seat's measurement.

Thanks for replies. I emailed Mr. Mustcha and asked for the measurement from the top of the horn? to the back seating area before the brace.

I'll compare that to the preferred spot for my butt on my current seat. Hope it works.

MP Motor Back Rest Seat

Wondering if anyone has a back rest seat from MP? I'm considering this seat; 1448772259.jpg I currently have this MP seat, but if I ride more than 15 minutes, my old back starts hurting. I had seat area moved back 3 inches and leg room is fine. 1474970514.jpg I want to make sure the new seat moved b...

Re: Update--NC Motorcycle Endorsement Question

Examiner was just wrong. I called NC Highway Patrol and they said that yes, if I had restriction #13 it did apply to any vehicle I drove. The only restrictions that can be applied to a motorcycle endorsement is for a 3-wheeler. Went back to drivers license office and had to have my examiner talk to ...

NC Motorcycle Endorsement Question

Took my PCX to drivers license exam station and passed the required road test. However, because the pcx does not have clutch and shifter, the examiner placed restriction #13 on my license. That restriction is for auto transmissions only. It is not clear on the temp license he gave me it only applied...

Re: Seats from Thailand A few questions.

Are the MPMotor seats real leather? Also, if I order one with the OEM Honda frame, do I still need to use the old rubber seal?

Lastly, I'm tall in the torso and my pants inseam is only 32. I'm wondering if I need to order with the back brace moved back?

Thanks!

Need a jacket

Hi Everyone, New here, moved up from an older true moped to a 2013 Honda PCX 150. Thinking about what I'll need and a jacket comes to mind. I have lots of hunting clothes to use as base layers so I'm thinking a good lightweight, reflective jacket I can use all year round would work. I'd appreciate s...
