Re: Givi Screen Fitment

I'm of similar height, wind now deflects around head level, but doesn't impact as much as when it was more chest level. Very much depends on how I wear my helmet, with the front flipped up I get quite a lot of buffeting around 50mph or so as the wind seems to catch on the chin piece, with my helmet ...

Re: New (soon to be) Owner

Think my scooter is broken in now! Running in was simple, took it a bit easy for the first few hundred miles, no full bore starts, no heavy braking. Done for some mechanical sympathy, but also to learn the new characteristics of the PCX. Is there a difference between the two trains of thought in reg...

Re: New (soon to be) Owner

Quick update on my PCX. Now done 1100 miles over the past 4 months since my purchase. Would have done more, but work got in the way and had to use my car instead of the scooter for various reasons. Hopefully now things have settled down and the scooter will be used more from now on. Had the running ...

Re: Today's Quick Pic

@ Chapel77, beautiful countryside! I would love a ride there. Ouu, but be alert I see lots of gravel in the forefront. Is it along your entire route? Yes indeed, the dreaded gravel! It's mostly contained to the sides of the road, but on some of my route it is present down the centre strip of the ro...

Re: Givi Screen Fitment

So it is now the time to put a new 'L' plate back on the front of my scooter :|

I know it spoils the look of the scooter, but I need a clean driving licence more!

Re: Givi Screen Fitment

Maybe you can cut the "L" decal down to where it just fits over the Givi name. There seems to be a lot of white background on the decal, certainly more than would seem necessary to get the point across. Legal requirement to have it that size, white background included!!! Some do alter or ...

Re: Useful additions

Ear plugs. Long rides are unbearable for me without em. So here's a question. If you use ear plugs, does that not mean that you will not be able to hear traffic and other noises that might be important when driving? I mean, in the old days of manual gears n' such, it was important to hear the rpm's...

Re: Givi Screen Fitment

lolofigo, I can't see your image. Are you mentioning the thin rubber trim that goes around the base of the givi screen after it's installed? To finish off the look and close up a bit of the gap? I had used that rubber trim piece on mine when I had that screen installed. Can you try to repost your p...

Re: Givi Screen Fitment

I like your parking area :D A bit OCD for a garage. Full central heating and carpeted out with my PCX standing on a clear plastic carpet protector with a mat for the centre stand matching the one at the external door, as well as the mat leading into the house. Kitchen base units with matching wall ...

Re: Givi Screen Fitment

Legally yes, but............ Somebody needs to run over a pot hole, crash and blame it on lack of visibility. Don't you people have any lawyers over there? Heck if you trip over an irregular side walk there's a lawyer to take your case here. The angle of the photo doesn't help, but obviously it's n...

Re: Givi Screen Fitment

Grill put back in and screwed in place. Takes a bit jiggling around and care has to be taken so not to scratch the headlight, but once lined up it slots back really easily. From start to finished the whole job took about 15 minutes, including taking photos, without the photos, 8-10 minutes. Really e...

Re: Givi Screen Fitment

Screen fitted in place, two holes on each side of the screen marry up to the silver retainers on the scooter, original bolts refitted. Lined up perfectly and took seconds to clip in place.
