Re: Dealing with Wind My First Time Out

In addition to my opening statement, I'm 5' 9" and #210. As for a windshield, I had the full tall Honda windshield installed at purchase. I'm sure it's just a feeling I'm not accustomed to experiencing yet. Since none of you folks have mentioned of being blown off the road, I'll give it some mo...

Dealing with Wind My First Time Out

I finally took my motorcycle safety class in order to get my cycle endorsement on my license, insurance, and plated. So I've been riding my local country roads around home here for practice. All is going well, except when I get the PCX up to 50, I seem to feel a lot of cross wind. Presently our wind...

Accessory socket inside Front Box

The front box located below the windscreen, when opened shows access to a 12W (12V,1A) accessory socket. What would be some usage options for this socket?

Re: GoPro, the Best Game in Town?

I think my ideal set-up would be a Mobius camera https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00H91Y856/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 and mounted with a RAM mount claw, https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00JQNRTDI/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pC_nS_ttl?_encoding=UTF8&colid=E9IZTO66VC27&coliid=IBL4JRGW5BT8...

Re: GoPro, the Best Game in Town?

Homie, I opened your first choice on Amazon (the $99 camera) can you tell me what the cord is going from the camera? I was hoping this was battery operated? Also, in regards to the suction cup, are you using this on the windshield so that the camera is looking through the windshield? Any problems wi...

Re: GoPro, the Best Game in Town?

Thanks Homie for your insight. I hated to hear that for the scooter I'd have to go to the GoPro products, $$$. You mentioned "options including 3-5-10 minute or continuous recording." which I believe relates to the looping option. For example, set at 10 minutes, means that at the end of ev...

GoPro, the Best Game in Town?

Was thinking of getting a GoPro strictly for an incident camera on my PCX. In looking at all the reviews for the GoPro cameras on Amazon, it appears there are a lot of problems with these cameras. Not sure I'm willing to pay that kind of money just to purchase problems! Any of you folks using camera...

U2, so you shot through the wind screen. Was there any problem with vibration blurring the results?

GoPro Mount Suggestions

I'm toying with the idea of a GoPro HERO5 Black to be used with my 2017 PCX 150. I think I'd like to do a Ram mount to the handle bars. What Ram mount, for those that use them, have you found works the best on the PCX with the GoPro products? A model no. for the mount will help also.

Any chance somebody might be able to supply an answer to the correct size Internal Adapter For CRG Bar End Mirror, 7/8" or 1" for the 2017 PCX 150?

Re: 2017 PCX Mirror Extension

Love the YouTube video, many thanks. And those mirrors in the video are the ones you list above from Amazon? And would this video, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_JAOqzD7McQ show exactly how my PCX would come apart? Probably going to have to find an impact Philips screw driver socket for my impact ...

Re: 2017 PCX Mirror Extension

Thanks for the advice! I was looking at the CRG Hindsight Lanesplitter Bar End Mirror sold by RevZilla, any thoughts on those as if they'd fit on a PCX?

Homie, are you suggesting the above mirror for the PCX? Seems there is a tightening concern with the mirror. Or is there another brand that you prefer? Regards

2017 PCX Mirror Extension

Sitting on my new 2017 PCX that sits in the garage, due to snow, I notice my right mirror allows me to see what's coming up on my right just fine. My left mirror allows me to only see my arm and shoulder. I've looked at the mirror extension threads on the forum which addresses this problem way back ...

Re: Honda Rear Trunk Lock for PCX 2017

Problem solved! On taking a closer look at the locking mechanism, there is a metal pawl that turns onto the top latching mechanism when you turn the key. The plastic was too new and not allowing an easy movement of the pawl. Working it a few times solved the problem and loosened things up a bit.

Re: Honda Rear Trunk Lock for PCX 2017

WhiteNoise, No, I'm not disappointed. I just want to be sure that I'm not doing something wrong, and that the trunk lid is designed not to lock. From what I see, the lock is only to lock the trunk to the mounting plate so nobody walks off with the whole trunk! As for security, should I need to lock ...

Re: Scooter Insurance Underwriters

Jetpilot, yes, insurance is required. Can't get a plate without showing proof of insurance. Scooters that are rated 49cc's or less don't need a plate and thus no insurance. George, yes the Obamacare as well as Medicare cannot be primary on medical auto coverage. Thus the need for medical on scooter ...

Scooter Insurance Underwriters

I'm going to be needing to get some insurance on my new PCX this spring in order to get my plate for the scooter. Since we're not talking auto or full fledged motorcycles here, but rather scooters, I'd like to query the forum about any pitfalls you may have encountered in dealing with scooter insura...
