Re: Making the rear brake pads last???

I have noticed the parking brake doesn't hold that securely. You could ride away not realizing it was on quickly destroying the pads. I wonder if any of the events reported hear could have been due to that. You would only have to make the mistake once. I'm surprised. When I set my parking brake and...

Re: Key stuck in ignition switch

I agree with the WD-40 guy and have an amazingly smooth ignition switch apparatus to demonstrate why.

Re: When is it time to move up to a Big Boy Bike?

My bikes are the Forza and a 23-year-old Vulcan. The Kaw is rock solid smooth on the Interstate - yes - but it's also 540 pounds of danger, what with no ABS and front brakes that are designed to give you a high-side or handlebar dismount at the slightest provocation. It also guzzles a gallon every 5...

Re: New accesories/modifications

Looks like a Givi windscreen. Glad the cutting down worked for you. I need one that's taller than they make. Their "tall" is good for me up to about 55mph but at 70mph my head gets beat up inside the helmet. Not sure what you did to fix the seat hydraulics. Is that a different support? If ...

Forza Update

I posted here last summer when I purchased a used Forza 300 ABS. This is an update on my impressions and experience. Bottom line is that I love this bike, but details follow. Performance: The bike has great geometry, as steering is intuitive, stable, and amazingly responsive, and braking is stop-on-...

Re: Question about buying a Forza

I am new to this forum and I just sold my Honda Silver Wing because I am getting old and I found the bike too heavy. I looked at the Paiggio MP3 and I was not impressed with the fit and the finish. That brings me to the Forza. It does not seem to be too popular in the US and I was wondering if I wi...

Re: Need Help with Non-Honda Scooter Please!

Appears to be an electrical fault. My first step would be to check the battery terminals, making sure there no wires disconnected and work forward from there. I presume there is battery voltage? I agree. Unless you installed a lithium ion battery way back when, chances are excellent that the batter...

[quot="Dufus"]eThanks Fish! $10 vs. $116? What's not to like?![/quote] My final, and best solution to the Forza mirror problem...was fitting a pair of Honda 500X mirrors.....exact same Forza mirrors but with perfectly longer stems! Keeping the Honda OEM look....much better than the extende...

Thank you! Am I gathering correctly from other posts that I need left-handed threading on both sides?

Re: Mirror extensions

These worked well for me on my new Forza. The allen screw/bolt is slightly too long...bottoms out in the brake lever housing hole. I just added one thick split washer and it snugged right up with no further issues. Wasn't certain if these would work....the lefty threads on both sides of the Forza c...

Re: Making the rear brake pads last???

I doubt that steel braided lines would change anything on the matter, however sintered pads might last longer than OEM organic ones. Sintered material is a lot less sensitive to heat, and also has a stronger structure so wears out later. This solution has a trade-off. Sintered pads do last longer, ...

Submarine Work

New Forza 300 owner here. Bought a used one yesterday in Indiana and rode it home through several heavy storms. Pros: Sticks to the road amazingly well, even when suddenly finding myself in 2 feet of water running across the road and soaking my jeans up to my knees even though I was wearing rain pan...
