Re: haggling suggestions for pcx 150
Wow thanks to all of you for all of the well-intentioned knowledge. Thank you Mel for the wonderful hard earned advice. I probably will stand there and annoy the shit out of them since a big fear of mine is that I'm just throwing money down the drain. I do plan on working on it myself too. I have fu...

Re: haggling suggestions for pcx 150
Today I went on a slow moving highway where I could comfortably cruise at 55 mph, but then hit a ton of traffic and thought, "eff it, I think I'm gonna cruise between the cars". It was really nice speeding up my commute but was equally scary because the bike barely makes a sound. At least ...

I agree, I was pretty tense and maybe that's why it's getting g easier today.kramnala58 wrote:I suspect your back pain will ease a bit as you become more comfortable with riding. I suspect, whether you realize it or not, being a rookie rider, you are more tense than usual.

Re: haggling suggestions for pcx 150
Push the bars up as far as possible without they touch the windscreen when turning. Sit up perky as much as you can as you've figured out already. 8) Thanks for the kind words. As much as it terrifies me to mod the bike in any way, I'll have to change the bars, as that makes sense that it would fee...

Re: haggling suggestions for pcx 150
Ok, so now that you have your bike here are some suggestions from someone who has been riding most of his long long life. First of all, for the wrist, get a Cramp Buster. It will help a lot. Second, for the bumps, replace the shocks with YSS adjustable ones. You can order them online. They are easy...

Re: haggling suggestions for pcx 150
Thanks for all the great replies! I find that in the last few days my back has ached a lot less so I might be able to go without a new seat, but it's nice to know that I can get better support if I need it. My wrist is also feeling a lot better now. It's likely due to me trying to keep my wrist stra...

Re: Percy the PCX125
Very nice! Wish we had the stop/start function here in the U.S. impressed that it maxes out at 55 to 60. My 150 maxes out at 65 so it's not much of a difference.

Re: haggling suggestions for pcx 150
The above pic is of me and my wife at the dealer's parking lot. I have a helmet, body armor, knee pads and gloves, that I bought thanks to advice received on here. I also installed a 20 dollar alarm, a good cover, a disk lock, and I have a chain and a ulock that I use at night at my apt bldg. This s...

Re: It's gone
Haha thanks, you've all assuaged my fears. I'm a student at a university overy here and a lot of my professors get really annoyed by me with my neurotic questions. I don't like to leave room for mistakes, but I understand I'm crazy when I'm doing it lol. It was hard, and I know I pestered but I'm so...

http://www.trackntrail.net/new_vehicle_compare.asp?veh1=422914&mfg2=1&veh2=491245&go2=Go This website shows some differences and I assume the 2016 is similar to the 2017. I'm seeing that one has CBS (don't know what that is), and one has hydraulic shocks, and this is where it says one r...

Re: haggling suggestions for pcx 150
Sorry, idk what happened there. I meant to quote that and say that I had an extended warranty on a car and felt that it cost more than it was worth so I'm probably not gonna get one.

Re: haggling suggestions for pcx 150
Depends on how risk averse you are. It provides piece of mind, but for a price (obviously). I got an extended warranty on my Silver Wing but not on the PCX. If I were to do it again, I probably wouldn't have bought the extended warranty on the Silver Wing. The bikes are both very reliable and, in a...

Re: haggling suggestions for pcx 150
So the 3400 was offered without an extended warranty. Should I get a warranty? It seems like such a simple design, I wouldn't need one, what say all of you? I never even bothered with the original warranty. It's a simple cheap scooter with a mechanical lifespan of 100k that'll be trashed/crashed be...
