Re: Tapping the battery terminals for accessory access
If it were mine I would buy a Battery Tender and attach those leads permanently to the battery. Then I would buy one of those leads that you can buy on Amazon or elsewhere that connects to the leads, cut the wire in half (since those spare leads come in a loop affair with a connector on both ends) ...

<< Its a good "all-day" 60-65MPH bike. Freeway (70mph) is fine in a pinch, but not for trips IMO. >> Based on the specs I was expecting it to handle 70 - 75 MPH without a problem. If not, I'm going to be disappointed. I tested it briefly in that range, but not for any sustained riding.

How to PM or contact a Forum Administrator
Sorry about posting this here, but I don't see a specific category for it.
I don't see any way to PM a forum member or contact a forum administrator or moderator.
Is this because I am a new member and don't yet have access to those functions or I just don't know how?

Tapping the battery terminals for accessory access
I removed the battery cover and examined the battery and its location. I want to connect a Gerbing 15 amp fused line with its connecter to it. This is for Gerbing heated gloves/vest and a Battery Tender. The connection to the battery terminals is straightforward. However, the cable needs to be run s...

Re: Running wire from accessory outlet to outside for GPS
The picture is of the underside of glove box. So dergav, I assume you drilled your hole on the left (outer) side of the bottom of the glove box. In that case, the hole would be above the underlying faring/fender. You then ran the wire between the glove box & the fender around & up to the ope...

Re: Running wire from accessory outlet to outside for GPS
dergav,
Which pieces of faring (if any) did you have to remove to do this?
Where in the bottom of the glove box did you drill the hole?
Any chance you could post pictures of the hole in the box & the wire coming up in the space between the handlebars?

Re: Running wire from accessory outlet to outside for GPS
I don't have a Forza. Nor do I have one of the new PCXs that have the accessory outlet in the glove box. However, I do have one PCX (my wife's bike) that has no accessory outlet, but a need to have some way for her to charge her phone. She has the Battery Tender leads attached to her battery, so I ...

Re: Running wire from accessory outlet to outside for GPS
One possible idea is to get a slim USB charger to plug in, and then one of these ; https://www.amazon.co.uk/Charger-Samsung-Blackberry-Digital-Save-Red/dp/B00GC7FF8W Which can bend around the closing seal of the door, least that's my idea :) I might be wrong but even though those cables are flat, t...

Re: Running wire from accessory outlet to outside for GPS
drilled a hole at bottom of the glovebox and an extra long accessory connection down through the hole and back up through the space at centre of handlebars...fairly easy to do...needs a long drill bit ( I used a long masonry drill bit) ...and need to drill a hole large enough to allow the end of th...

Running wire from accessory outlet to outside for GPS
For those who have done this, how did you do it?
On my Burgman 400 & 650 bikes I ground a groove to allow the wire to pass without pinching when the glovebox door is shut. I could do the same on the Forza 300, but before I do it I'd like to hear the experience of others and how they did it.
