Self-authored Honda Forza 300 Review

Hey all, Given the rarity of uniformity of most reviews on the Forza, I thought I’d get a review down of my Forza. I think of it as the review maybe I wish I’d had before buying this machine or particularly the PCX (which I review in another page). I’ve had it a year and put around 8000 miles on it....

Re: OEM Forza 300 Bulb Replacement

Thanks guys I saved $15 and got the new one installed... omg that freaking plug and clip... My favorite user manual directions: "installation is the reverse of removal" I want to find the guy who wrote that and place my fist gently on his face, pull back with great ferocity, then do the re...

OEM Forza 300 Bulb Replacement

Hey All, I noticed the high beam on one of my lights on the Honda 300 went out yesterday - looks like I just need to replace the bulb. Any chance I can swap out with any old 12v 35/35W that appears to fit from an auto parts store or should I order the OEM proper part and wait for it to get delivered...

Re: Forza 300 20g slider/16g roller review: 2000+ miles

Oh, and "I keep my rollers or sliders stock because the Forza is a low powered SCOOTER and nothing you do to it is going to make it Hayabusa fast. NOTHING!!!" It doesn't have to be Hayabusa fast, just faster than YOUR Forza. Trust me: it was. And there is some irony to a Canadian two-wheel...

Re: Forza 300 20g slider/16g roller review: 2000+ miles

davenowherejones: call it what you want. Mine has shoulder straps... The girl at the register said it was a nice bag, but I suspect she noticed the look of shame and resignation in my lowered gaze. You see... I had a messenger bag which fit my padded laptop bag, but it was too bulky to go under the ...

Forza 300 20g slider/16g roller review: 2000+ miles

There's a lengthy thread on this forum called something like "Tuning the Forza CVT" or similar... I decided based on a perception that the rpm is artificially low up to about 50mph to give this a try. Verdict: If you don't spend much time going over 65mph, DO IT, it's a serious performance...

Re: Honda high vs Givi non-adjustable shields - one more tim

Hey, I posted above about the tall Honda screen being perfect and I paid a little more attention to where the top of the screen actually is. In fact for me when I'm sitting upright making no attempt to hunch or be taller the top of the screen is about at the bottom of my chin or high on my neck. And...

Re: Honda high vs Givi non-adjustable shields - one more tim

I have the Honda screen... not sure about measurements but I'm not sure how productive they are given it's so dependent on helmet height which you don't really have. I believe the height for me is about perfect but I am 5'9" with a long torso (probably sitting equivalent helmet height to somebo...

Re: Aftermarket Variator + Drive Belt = Failure at ~3,500 mi

I should probably just add that although there may be obvious reasons for me thinking this is true, the combination of rollers, engine response and top speed with the Yuminashi pieces was such a vast improvement over stock that I could only tolerate that PCX back in stock form again for about a week...

Re: Aftermarket Variator + Drive Belt = Failure at ~3,500 mi

Thanks for the feedback I'm continuing to keep an eye on my post. A couple additional details just in general and of the day: In general (all speeds indicated not GPS): - rode 17 miles each way of which 30 altogether were freeway most days it wasn't raining, which in CA is often - Saw 70mph almost e...

Re: Aftermarket Variator + Drive Belt = Failure at ~3,500 mi

OK - Pics!!! Most interesting to me is that the belt seems to be in such good condition where it isn't actually snapped... Marks on the variator could have happened post-snapping... but they're on there pretty good since I've already done a once over with some brake cleaner to look at the face witho...

Re: Aftermarket Variator + Drive Belt = Failure at ~3,500 mi

Well I can't upload a photo now but there are significant areas of the belt which show almost no damage, it does not look threadbare or split on basically half the belt... Which is a little concerning actually. I will try and get some photos up later. But honestly I do think the part served its purp...

Congrats - OP author here... Just added a new post about the drive belt snapping on my upgrade you just pulled the trigger on :( But - just make sure you get in there about every couple thousand miles or so and take a look at the belt and rollers, and I think you will be very happy as I was. Aftermarket Variator + Drive Belt = Failure at ~3,500 miles

Author of the 2015+ LED PCX 150 thread discussing the variator/roller weight/belt upgrade and its joy for freeway travel... So, I was very happy with the Yuminashi v.2016 Variator and recommended aftermarket reinforced belt. This is until the belt snapped yesterday. Clutch engaged immediately but th...

Please post me a link of where you purchased it from? Will I need a new belt? Im at 3800 miles. If you avoid free ways, lets say do 45mph, can you still get over 100mpg? http://www.yuminashi.eu/torque-control-variator-v-2016-2-pcx125-150-click125i-vario-techno125-forza125/ Part: 22111-K35-001 http:...

Re: 2015+ North American PCX150 (LED) Variator Mod Feedback

Next Update... from OP: So - I've now had the mod on for about 800 miles or so - riding a lot and plenty on the freeway. Commuting to work is about 18 miles each way of which 17 or so are freeway. I see 70mph on the speedometer everyday, close to 75 most days on a couple spots where the wind is low ...

OP Mod Feedback Update

Hey All, Update after two weeks: 1) Given I've been asked a couple times and don't seem to have the right to PM - I guess I'll just come out and say that it is the Yuminashi Kit and belt I installed. I used everything in the kit, didn't mix and match rollers (so just used to 10g, packed drive boss -...

Re: 2015+ North American PCX150 (LED) Variator Mod Feedback

Hey Chicaboo, No flat spots. Not quite the right question since the 10g rollers have the perceived affect of jumping the rpms up and keeping them steadily at revs that I would guess were close to 40mph (at about 15mph up until that speed) with the stock setup. Like mercilessly slipping the clutch on...

2015+ North American PCX150 (LED) Variator Mod Feedback

Hi All, I've been lurking on this forum for a bit as I've considered the infamous variator/roller up/side-grade and I've taken the plunge and want to provide some thoughts on both the forum and what has happened to my scoot so far (having just installed today and ridden a loop). First and foremost -...
