Re: k2apache's 6.0 2013 PCX Mod thread

Mel said: "My question for you is, if I want the shop to use DOT 4 now instead of the original (I think DOT 3), do they need to change the lines to metal or something that can handle the new stuff, or are the original lines still acceptable?" Mel, I have gone beyond that mod on a previous ...

Black swing arm cover, custom oil fill cap, and freshly installed YSS G-Plus rear shocks. Also a good view of custom undertail/fender eliminator. License plate frame has built in LED lights Question: Have you replaced the rear drum brake with a disk ? Or am I mistaken ? No, just the stock drum brake

Re: BikerzBits PCX seat #7

I have number 7 seat also, price is normal yeah shipping aint cheap. The #7 if memory serves is lower than the stocker by approx 1 1/2" and you lose a small amount of the luggage space since the seat pan is different than stock too, though it fits perfectly well. Regarding the 'hump', dont expe...

Re: Hi everyone... NCY Variator kit?

I am planning on changing my 2013 PCX variator in August. Several questions: Is there any special attention the rear wheel or clutch on the rear, needs ? On the NYC site, they list both a complete super transmission set for $259.00 and they list a secondary slider part # 1200-1194 for $135.00 What ...

Re: Today

Well the video gear is near worthless unless you find a 1/1000,000 retro geek freak these days. The audio gear can be worth real money. that Lafayette stuff is rare and worth $. Onkyo stuff, the integra line anyways is worth money, the M504 goes usually for 700-1k depending on condition of course. T...

Was at work WN, 82f and sunny, down in Miami where I'm the dockmaster of a busy dock full of restaurants. I see about 150 boats come and go every weekend. I'm on my Hi Fi hobby at the mo, just got my Onkyo M504 and P308...Oh you'll have seen em, and yes they were a bucketlist item, same as that Tec...

"Well, it is official...Atlanta, Georgia has the 4th most aggressive drivers in the United States. That tells me that it has not been my imagination that drivers try to run over us scooter riders!" Could be, you may be right, I dunno. All I can tell you is since installing HID projector he...

He has all the virtues I dislike and none of the vices I admire. -Winston S. Churchill. That reminded me of another famous political quote Gladstone said to Disraeli, "I predict, Sir, that you will die either by hanging or of some vile disease". Disraeli replied, "That all depends, si...

Re: Chrome handlebars and steer head top.

Paint - Powdercoat ???? Nah, I'm not one to wait around for others. It's rattle can 'Krylon max', it has a primer built in. Its been well over a year now and holding up well. I used 320 grit wet and dry before painting to give it some 'purchase'. If it needs doing again down the road I'll simply do...

Re: Chrome handlebars and steer head top.

I did this a while back bikerz accessories. And used a Yamaha R1 caliper plug to dress up the center nut. The long bar in center was added, cut down to fit a clock and painted black and later replaced with a Koso electrical RPM gauge. I also cut down the adjustable height clamps and modded the winds...

Re: 2016 PCX 150 BRAKES

Hi Mel, yes it's a straight hookup with the included adapter bracket, and yes PCX has a 3 piston set up. The 3 pistons work when the front brake lever is pressed, the middle piston (only) is activated when using the rear brake lever. It appears the Impact brand kit for the PCX has been discontinued ...

Re: Roller weights an peak power and torque

I'll bet it does (Take off like a scalded Dog) with 11g rollers. But 'peak power and torque' are going to be around 7,000-7,500 rpm's. Problem with too light a roller is sometimes it feels like the 'clutch' is slipping, the engine seemingly racing ahead of the transmission. If I did a lot of 2 up ri...
