Re: This should be fun! Going to get a new exhaust!

Thats much better than the op's in my opinion, and a great price toboot. Leo Vinces tend to be loud though.[/quote] I am the original poster. Perhaps the first post was confusing. I posted a pic of an exhaust I liked the look of, but said I was getting the Leo Vince instead because I didn't want to ...

Re: Just rollers vs complete variator

Yep, I was a little too scared to go all the way down to 10g, and 12g seemed to be just under that magical 8000rpm figure, so I took a chance on the 11g sliders. But some people have reported great success with 10g rollers, but I've not read of anyone using 10g sliders. I found the thread and after...

Re: This should be fun! Going to get a new exhaust!

What are we paying for that? Sounds almost good enough to adjust my riding habits too. $211 from parts giant in Michigan. http://www.partsgiant.com/p343501 Hasn't shipped yet. I'm watching the accounts page...hurry hurry!!!! Must have exhaust! Must must! Thats much better than the op's in my opinio...

Re: Just rollers vs complete variator

My Dr Pulley sliders are 20x15mm, part number SR2015 11g. Same as the GY6 engine uses. I'm now of the opinion 13g are too heavy. 11g are great for me, maybe 10g are perfect, I don't know? Gav. I Just ordered mine, and went with 12g sliders. Sendler stated, if my memory serves me right, the idea is ...

Re: Just rollers vs complete variator

After numerous hours and days surfing the Web , I have to sadly say that DR Pulley Sliders is not going to happen for me. Cost of sliders and shipping works out to be 4 times the cost of OEM rollers. First option was the NCY drive face and Dr Pulleys. So my 2nd option of Malossi multivar kit will n...

Re: New user in Thailand

Must be great there with easy access to all those custom parts without the crazy shipping prices we're forced to endure, even when the parts are obtainable. For the life of me I've not found anyone who has/ships overseas the Arashi air filter cans, the only websites I've found that have it are in Th...

GN is right as usual... I would beg to differ on looks, but have come to realize without confrontation over the years his logic is impeccable. And trust me i would peck it if I could :) I don't doubt it lol, I agreed with a post of his just yeasterday. But if the World was based exclusively on 'Log...

Re: wider tyres pcx 125 63plate

I dont fit my own tires, I go to the mc tire shop who have a proper machine for it. As to your other points I'm aware of everything you state, it aint my 1st rodeo. As for the mod, there's a good few who have done this already, and all have said it's been an improvement without reservation. I'm not ...

Re: wider tyres pcx 125 63plate

The fatter tyres will increase fuel consumption, adversely affect the ability to change direction quickly, reduce acceleration, reduce top speed and look ridiculous. Can't see what's holding people back from fitting them  "Looks Ridiculous"? That's going a bit far, other scooter's us...

Re: Achieving 70mph

I just have 11g Dr Pulley sliders and hit 71mph with headwind. I'm 6'2" and almost 260lbs. If I was to do it again I'd probably go with 10g sliders, but I doubt there's much in it... Acceleration is greatly improved and takes the scooter from adequate to a little bit naughty. Having said that,...

Re: Achieving 70mph

1g lol.
You Won't need a new belt, unless youre's has a lot of mileage on it. Best advice is learn a bit about variators first so you know what they are and how they work, your 220lbs might take more than just sliders though tbh

Re: Achieving 70mph

Try Dr Pulley sliders first, 12 or 13g in the stock variator that might just get you the 70mph and much better acceleration
for cheap so long as you're not a fatso. Gas usage wont be much of a factor
