Re: PCX choking under load sometimes

No idea. Bought it from Honda used with full dealer service and fresh from a service just before the lockdown, and put less than 600km or so on it since. Unfortunately with lockdown, the bike's warranty expired with little or no use, so I didn't pick up on any issues....

Re: PCX choking under load sometimes

Thanks for the reply. Yes, code is definitely being cleared correctly and it remains cleared until the problem recurs. I think it must be electric too, but really hope it's just a blocked injector. I'll see how I get on with the engine cleaner. There is also a very light ticking under medium loads, ...

PCX choking under load sometimes

We suspect the issue may be linked with rain, but not sure. So if left in rain, then the next day it may have more trouble. It'll happen on one journey, then the next journey, either same day, or day after the bike will run perfectly. A lot of the time the bike runs perfectly, but sometimes under lo...

Re: Scan Tool for Honda Scooters??

YouTube video reset didn't work, buddy1976 method did reset though. Please ignore my post.

Also disconnecting battery does not reset ECU.

Re: Scan Tool for Honda Scooters??

So given we can read fault codes with a paperclip, can we also reset the ECU with a paperclip, and will it be the same cables as on the From? https://youtu.be/ecISRHNFEOU This guy also does it on a PCX though in a much more questionable looking way - though the check engine light still flashes as in...

Re: How-To: Install a 12v Accessory Socket

Great thanks! This fixed it. Issue was the green wire. Strange though as indicators and dash (also fed by brown) work fine while brake is pressed.

Re: How-To: Install a 12v Accessory Socket

I've installed my 12v but something odd is happeninng. I followed the method of connecting to the green wire that goes to the turn signal. Every time I press the brake the current to the 12v socket is cut. Does anyone know me have any idea why this might be happening? Does anybody have some thought...

Re: How-To: Install a 12v Accessory Socket

I read that the additional current drawn by a 12v charger is too much to simply tack on to the lights and that a relay should be used in conjunction with a direct line to the battery to avoid damage.

Does anyone have any thoughts on this?

Re: How-To: Install a GPS Tracker

cool... or just have good insurance and wait for a new one 8) True, but I drive a pretty expensive car and have 7 years no claims discount. I don't know how it works in the US, but in the UK if I claim for a stolen scooter, my car insurance will shoot up by probably about the value of the scooter a...

How-To: Install a GPS Tracker

My last bike got stolen never to be seen again, so this time I installed a tracker. I bought a TK-104 GPS Tracker off eBay for £33.99. It includes a lot of features but the main ones I was interested in are: - Shock alarm - Geo-fence (alert if bike moves outside specified area) - Continuous tracking...

Hi,

I am just in the process of writing up a guide for installing a tracker on your PCX, but in the meantime I thought I'd say hi and share a picture of a very modded PCX...
