Re: Saddle Bags?
Have done several trips with them in the 6 months I've had them. Found nothing to criticise about them at all. As to durability, they are probably overbuilt for most peoples use. Fully expect them to outlast me  Have been snowed on, rained on (scottish rain) and not a hint of dampness inside. I...

Re: Theoretical muffler question!
Round these parts anyone who thinks it's cool to wake babies from their slumber gets their exhaust filled with gap filler for their troubles. Bikes or cars. Upset young mothers at your peril.

Re: Theoretical muffler question!
gn2 nails it again. Not only would it screw up a balanced system but also your relationship with the rest of the human race within earshot!

Re: Saddle Bags?
I got the Amphibious Moto bags. Cavernous and totally waterproof. Hold up to 50 litres each side. Slip on and of in seconds to access under seat storage. Easy to mount high enough to avoid exhaust contact and no frames required.

Or read the owners manual! Novel idea I know, but Honda do go to the trouble of printing/issuing one with every scoot.

I got the same ones as iceman. Easy fit. As to hitting windshield, just glue a couple of bits of rubber tube over the stops on the triple clamp. Sorted.

Thanks all. Went with the Conti Move 365 (All year round) M & S. Very sure footed in the wet and on mud and rainwash dirt/gravel. Done 1500 miles on them so far and delighted.

Re: And yet another windscreen topic
It is the X-creen sport. Comes in the box with over top screen clips or as I've used, bolt on option. Easy fit either way. PCX screen is similar shape and curvature to my S-wing 125. Played around a little re positioning with the clips before making the change to bolt on fittings.

Got my S wing 125 on 29th January. Two months and 3,000 miles later in scottish weather I've ridden in pretty much everything that nature throws. Quite slowly in snow  Round here the biggest danger is run off of gravel, mud and sand onto the roads plus mucho mud dropped by farmers tractors, not...

Re: Percy the PCX125
Thanks for the memories. Spent quite some time cycling the backroads of Kent in the 80's when I was based at Ashford. Ex wife came from Ramsgate and her parents moved to Tenterden/Biddenden area. Wonderful countryside to travel on two wheels. Leg or petrol driven!

Dumbest thing I ever did? Sold my BSA C15 SS80 at age 26 and didn't ride a bike again till age 64. I got some riding time to make up for.

Re: And yet another windscreen topic
Other thread I just put up same link to supplier. Info on site is fairly comprehensive. My own experience, for what it is worth is, my screen is about mid neck height on me. Wind noise and buffeting were uncomfortable on journeys longer than 30 miles. Fitted this doohickey and am very pleased. No mo...

Memories of 3 of us squeezed into a Messerschmidt in 1967 heading from Auchterarder into Perth on the A9. The old Cairnie Brae had us down to 10MPH. Fun carefree timesgn2 wrote:Would rather have a Messerschmitt KR200
