Hi, Am UK too, Aberdeenshire. My thoughts are that any savings on grey imports are lost down the road on resale. 2nd hand grey imports have very low values.

My 15yo grandson had a one word response "Dork". What I think. . . . . . . . . sorry, lost for words.

Re: Location! Location! Location!
Some deluded souls consider the centre of the universe to be in Yorkshire, have even heard some claim Leeds. Poor things are about 300 miles too far south. On the other hand some consider Yorkshiremen as scots who have lost their skirts and too ashamed to come home without. Think I'll duck now...

Re: Tyre question
Hi Alibally, good site. Thanks for the link. K58 is a winter tyre, really need an all season. Notice that IRC do a heavy tread tyre similar to the continental. The Conti is looking the best in price and suitability, would just like confirmation from someone who has used on a similar scooter. Buying ...

Re: Tyre question
Thank you Oyabun. Looks perfect . . . but not available my sizes. Should have said I've got the Honda S wing FES 125. Sort of forerunner to the Forza 125 but 110/90 x 13 front and 130/70 x 12 rear. Tread pattern looks similar to the continentals and like them are designed for year round use which is...

Re: Tyre question
Snow and ice was mentioned as an aside! The extra grip is needed year round due to the state of rural roads in this part of the world. Mud, grit and gravel dumped by tractors, timber lorries etc and as mentioned earlier rain run off bringing mud grit and gravel onto roads. The single track roads wit...

Tyre question
Tyre question. Anyone have experience of using Continental Move 365 M & S tyres? Been looking at fitting something grippier for year round use on Scottish rural roads. Got OEM IRC's at the moment, can't fault them on clean tarmac but useless in snow and ice not to mention mud or gravel wash off ...

Re: Opinions please???
Corrosion is not a constant, there are factors to consider. Exposure to road salts being a biggie. From September through to April in my little corner of paradise. To wash the scoot down thoroughly with cold water once it has cooled after every use is a discipline that is way beyond me  So lik...

since when did women get into drag racing rails? Since forever. Drag racing is the ideal sport for women, the course is only a quarter of a mile long and there are no corners to negotiate. Keeps it nice and easy for them.     gn2, You are on your own with this one! Rob...

Re: Crankcase breather tube - Difficulty in removing plastic
Can't help but imagine that in a parallel universe somewhere the second post in this thread is simply the word "Hairdryer" and the third and last post the word "Thanks" :D Probably a very boring parallel universe though. Anyways the hairdryer applied to mine for a minute so...

Re: Advice for riding with passenger?
Make sure you have the best insurance package you can afford, not just the legal minimum. I have decided for me that at age 64 and inexperienced that even when I do pass my test I do not wish to be responsible for a passengers safety on todays roads. So to practical advice based on experience I have...

Re: Homemade backrest
Thanks guys. For the backrest I laminated two thin kitchen cutting mats in a curve then three thicknesses of foam from an old camping mat. Sewed up a cover from a charity shop leather coat. Fitted a loop either side to take an adjustable webbing strap to go under seat. Job done. Total cost less than...

Hi Mel, Tube is for carrying my fly rods. Side panel has a hole for mounting tax disc which is now redundant this side of pond, so that provides lower mount, upper mount I drilled the rear rack and used a short section alloy flat bar to mount tube.

I like riding feet up out of town but felt I was lying back on my arms. Tiring after a few miles. Had a look at what was available. Being short the need was for a rest in front of the hump. Nothing out their that was quick on/off, didn't involve cutting the seat or mounting fixed brackets. Not to me...

On the youtube video linked by dt125, careful re watching shows the rider ran onto a poured tar strip just as he went down. Easy to blame the tyres but maybe not the cause in this instance.

Is it possible that the screen may provide some non fatal resistance to the riders forward motion before breaking away prior to rider hitting something less forgiving like the rear of a truck. Just thinking out loud. Fortunately have not put it to any test. . . . . . . . . yet!
