Re: Cargo Net

I have one of those small bungee net thingys and have used it on occasion to hold down a day pack or a grocery bag on the passenger seat and/or the rear rack (minus the top box which I didn't buy). The way I figure it, it was inexpensive, stores easily under the seat, and does the trick when you hav...

Re: How to convert 2013 to LED superbright headlight

By the way, for anyone who would like to connect additional front LED accessory lights to their bike and want them to come on when you start the bike, along with the headlights, there is a simple way to do it. I discovered it during the Christmas Holidays. I will be glad to tell you if there is any...

Another nearby place to stay is Fontana Dam Village, a large collection of cabins that were originally used to house the dam workers, and that have been renovated. There's also a lodge there you can stay in. Plus they have restaurants and other facilities on-site. BTW, the best time to drive the Dra...

I've had a similar experience where I needed the horn but couldn't quickly find the button.

Very poorly placed if you ask me.

Re: DIY Shoes, Socks and Blood

I recently put on a set of YSS Z series shocks. I was initially disappointed with how jarring they were, but as they are breaking in and the miles are adding up they are getting more and more comfortable.

Re: PCX won't start in cold

With a multimeter check for a parasitic drain on the battery - something is on (stuck switch?) that is drawing down the battery.

Also check the ECU connector. Others have had issues with corrosion in that causing similar problems.

Good luck!

Re: An I too old?

I'm 66 and got a PCX150 after not having ridden any motorcycles since right after college.

If you're alert, have good reaction times, and a very defensive driver you should be fine. I agree that checking with your doctor and taking a motorcycle course is good advice.

Re: Vololights Advanced Braking Indicator review

Yeah, I have one also I put on my PCX about 2 weeks ago. It doesn't seem sensitive enough for a scooter - it only seems to go off when braking very hard. I'm going to try re-calibrating it while sitting on the bike to see if that helps...

I really like my HJC IS-33 helmet. Comfortable, easy to use, good ventilation, and builtin retractable sunshade.

Re: Spark Plug Removal

I found it easiest to use a box/open end wrench from underneath to loose and tighten the plug and use my fingers to screw or unscrew it the rest of the way. I had the bottom panels off but I'm not sure that was actually necessary.

Definitely a PITA

Re: Ride, hike@fly, ride

I always put one on my cars drivers side mirror so I don't have to turn my head to see in my blind spot. They're inexpensive and work great. Available in most auto stores and auto departments (Target, Walmart, etc.). However I think they're most effective on the outer edge of the mirror. I haven't p...

I suspect he just painted a few plastic parts, like the exhaust cover, the fuel filler door/cover, and the spark plug cover.

Kudos for originality but not my cup of tea

Your delay was probably more US customs that the PO. It took a week for mine to get thru customs at JFK
