Farwell to all, its been a wonderful ride.

:D Hello everyone. Yesterday I sold my bike after 12 months and "almost" 10,000 trouble free miles. I decided that this spring when the ice thaws I want something a bit bigger. I would recommend the Forza to anyone wanting a mid-sized scoot. Remember.......always keep the rubber side down.

Re: Opinions on Tyres for the Forza

I average roughly 3500 miles on the rear tire before it needs to be replaced. I cant see anyone thinking a Forza "burns" tires so its either a softer/better gripping tire issue or just another way to milk customers.

Re: windshield upgrade

Installed Givi windshield, and reflector tape on rims of my Forza yesterday. Will post pictures later. I installed the same Givi screen and wished I didn't cut 2-1/4" off the top. Now that I added an airhawk seat cushion I get too high and swallow bugs now and again. Nasty without a cold one t...

Think you'd need to look at a Burgman 400 or similar for sustained high speed highway work

same here!

Re: Submarine Work

I made my own mirror extenders by cutting the steel mirror pipes, adding 6" aluminum ID 3/8" pipe, apply epoxy and paint it black. cost me 1 hour labor and $8.00 USC.

Re: Bike + Deer = TRASHED

I received my Forza back from Honda a few days ago and ran her for a few hundred miles before posting this opinion. My bike looks and functions like new. I could not find a single thing to complain about. I do not know exactly what they replaced nor do I know if anything was "glued" becaus...

Re: Bike + Deer = TRASHED

davenowherejones Maybe you are correct and I might be taken to the cleaners. I'm relying on "brand reputation" in that Honda will do a professional job but who knows. He stated he would "order" the parts and at no time did he say "repair" the plastics. Like all repair j...

Re: Bike + Deer = TRASHED

Honda just called me with a price tag for parts and labor at $975.00. I asked them to also install a new rear tire and they want an extra $220.00. I gave them the green light and should have my bike back in less then two weeks. I only had 2700 miles on the rear tire but it was looking "cupped&q...

Re: Insurance claim or not?

Mel46. You are correct and if I had the parts list I would have attempted the job myself from day one. The dealer will call with an estimate (if repairable) and I'll make my big decision then. You are also correct in saving money from the maintenance costs and is the reason I do most of it myself. F...

Re: Insurance claim or not?

I wanted to thank everyone for their time to post. All of your info/links were noted and extremely helpful. Now I have the ammunition ready should my dealer decide to take advantage. I have decided NOT to file a claim regardless what happens because I just don't want a hit for as I've noted before &...

Insurance claim or not?

My previous post about me hitting a deer raises an interesting question. Should I file a claim if the bike damage exceeds my comfort level of $2,000? If the bike is totaled by my dealer should I just eat it and still not file a claim? The reason for not filing a claim is I don't want an accident on ...

Re: Bike + Deer = TRASHED

Hello everyone and thanks for the feedback. I just dropped off my Forza at Honda who told me I would get an estimate in 1-1/2 to 2 weeks because he is booked. My bike is fully insured minus a $500. deductible. My attitude is that if the repairs are less than $2,000 I'll just pay it and forget the in...

Re: Bike + Deer = TRASHED

I just called my Honda dealer and was told I am on a 2-3 week wait because its "prime" season. 2-3 weeks just to wait till they give me an estimate and order the parts. My summer fun is over before it even began....damn deer!

Bike + Deer = TRASHED

Was out today enjoying my bike nearing 3,000 miles of endless fun (only bought it new a few months ago) when it all ended. Traveling around 35 MPH Bambi jumped out and wanted to ride my bike. I managed to pull over safely after impact and Bambi jumped off, stood there contemplating why a dumb biker ...

"happily sitting at 70mph" I just finished my first 2,000 miles and my first long ride of 220 miles. I feel very comfortable now to take it on a longer trip. In two weeks I'm heading up to Americade in Lake George New York clocking roughly 520 miles for the round trip. Yup I agree "ha...

Re: Emergency tire plug kit?

On every bike I've owned I keep a vulcanizing (plug) kit and a bicycle air pump. This combination is small lightweight and always works. The joke is that the few times I've picked up nails I rode to a local dealer for a repair. Only one time while riding did I have a blowout and even the best of kit...

Or you can just cut the OD 3/8" pipe and add a 6" 3/8 ID pipe like I did. I also painted it black so it looks factory.

Re: seat damper/lift...or lack thereof

There's been previous discussions here about the Forza seat, that it won't stay up, which is irritating when try to load something. My seat will stay up IF it's warm outside (60f+), the scoots on the center stand and there's no wind trying to blow it closed. otherwise, it falls closed. Under warran...

Re: dumbest thing ever...

The dumbest thing I've seen are these videos when guys ride their bikes up ramps to load in pickup trucks. I honestly believe there are more fails then successful loads. when I bought my Forza the dealer recommended I just ride it up the ramp! I told him NO! because like you said the room for epic ...
