Re: LED mods to 2013 PCX 150.

You could buy a LED compatible turn signal relay clicker on eBay for a dollars. Mine doesn't make the clicking sound, but there are ones that do make it. You could get something like this one, if you want the clicking sound. http://www.ebay.com/itm/12V-2-Pin-Beeper-Motorcycle-Flasher-Relay-Turn-Sign...

Re: Bike cut while riding and now will not start!

Here are my Ideas, is there too much oil in the crankcase? I bought my scoot with a rattling noise from the crankcase also and it turned out to be the timing belt tensioner that broke because of too much oil in the crankcase. The belt tensioner isn't hard to remover to inspect.

Re: do Chinese scooters suck?

Stay far far away from Chinese scooters unless it was made by a japanese company in china. There are plenty of foreign brands that are good, like Kymco, Piaggio, Vespa, Yamaha, Suzuki... Talk to some motorcycle/scooter mechanics, they should know what's good.

Re: Oil leak on rear housing and tire.

It might of just had too much oil in the rear gear box. If it is that then the leak will stop once enough oil has seeped out.

Re: Dealing with Wind My First Time Out

You could also look to do some drive train mods to your scoot. They will allow you to gear the engine so that it's RPM will be at its peak power when riding at highway speeds. Right now the engine will be at a RPM past the peak power of the engine when at top speed. This won't fix everything as a 15...

Re: Dealing with Wind My First Time Out

Being new to riding motorcycle/scooters the wind can feel scary. The trick to riding in the wind is to let the bike counter-steer into the wind. For example if the wind is coming from the left then it should feel like taking a fast left hand turn. I have ridden other scooters and motorcycles and spe...

The PCX was dropped by Honda, her in North America? To be fair this forum is kind of slow though.

Re: Bestem or LEDs on the rear?

Gil, the case is black so my suggestion my be all you need to do. There is an item in the section of various stores called "as seen on TV" that will work great for you without you having to paint the case. In fact, it works for lots of auto parts. It is called 'Wipe New'. I think I got mi...

Re: Bestem or LEDs on the rear?

A few hours ago I finished installing LED lights on my Bestem trunk. I'll add some pictures later. My Bestem trunk came without LEDs, at a price of $84 USD. I have had it for more than a year now and it's black plastic is starting to fade. I might paint it Black just so that it stays looking Sharp. ...

Re: 2011 19,000 kms stutters at slow speeds with passenger

I recommend Homie's suggestion. I had a bit of stutter on take-off in the evenings, but not in the morning for some reason. I did a couple of hard take off from a stop, like if it was a drag race, and it seemed to of reduced the symptoms. I can't notice it as much now. My scoot has 10200 miles.

Re: Forza Vs PCX

The Forza is more oriented for Highway riding. If that's part of your intended use then the Forza is the better choice. After riding the PCX for 2100 miles I can attest to the fact that a little more power of the highway would be nice. I'm riding on side roads more often because of the power deficie...

Re: Bought my Forza on Saturday.....but....

Here in California M2 is for bikes under 150cc and M1 for bikes of 150cc or higher. When I was learning I got a riding permit, after passing the written motorcycle test, and rode my scooter for like a year. I did my test with the scoot I had at the time, a 1985 Yamaha Riva 180. A slight delay for yo...

NOJ Quiet Rider- cut the wind buffeting

I recently bought the NOJ quiet Rider helmet add on. It's made to block the wind noise that is generated at the bottom of the windshield. At the moment I only have the stock windshield with a little deflector and as a result I get a lot of noise at the bottom of my helmet. This add on attaches to th...

Re: Mpg question/ idle question

I'm averaging 75 mpg, but I do mostly 60 mph+ roads and have to deal with heavy wind. If you do more of the 45mph roads then you might match the claimed MPG. It's still good non the less. As for your engine troubles, do you have any more info on your bike? After riding my scoot i get this hot exhaus...

Update crashcrew84?

On a side note, my scoot lost power a couple of weeks ago due to a dragging rear brake. Might be something to check for.
one last thing, does your bike really have 60,000 miles on it?

Mel46 I used a standard size 12v socket. Mine looked longer than the one on your picture.
I had just enough clearance behind the glove box.

Re: pcx125 2015 rear budged suspension

I wouldn't replace the stock shocks unless they were dead. Also, aftermarket doesn't always mean better quality.
Other members here could give pointers on the reliability of aftermarket shocks for the PCX.

Re: Useful additions

I have added heated grips for these cold months, grip guards for the cold wind,
low cost Bestem trunk, LED daytime running lights and removed the Hump on my 2013 seat.
From All those I would remove the seat hump first, grip guards second, heated grips third and trunk last.
