Re: 2018 Honda PCX Performance
Anyone installed this performance chip on their PCX? Thoughts? http://www.magnumtuning.com/en/detail/evo-tech-motorcycle-performance-chip/honda/pcx150 Snake oil salesmen. Looks to me like the intake temperature sensor resistor mod that has been done on cars. It gives the computer an offset temperat...

Re: how long do my tires have once the tread is gone?
Interesting site on tire wear for big bikes. http://www.rattlebars.com/tirewear/index.html
I replace my tires according to the thread depth indicators. The risk of a blown tire isn't worth the risk of injury.
There isn't that much rubber left after the tire has gone bald.

You should be fine to ride like that. Consider buying new panels, I thought that they were quite cheap.

Re: Gas tank fill up
You must be getting good gas milage. I'm happy if the last bar start to blink at 100 miles on the oddo. I have the 1.6 gal tank and have filled up too 1.42 on occasions. I also fill my tank to the brim. Gil It would depend on how fast you're riding on average. Those figures equate to 27.77 km/L whi...

My parts catalog was published in 2014 so that's no help. I suspect the 53 tooth gear is the faster PCX right? Th...

You are correct. I was thinking number 7.you you wrote:Gil wrote:The replacement of that gear is easy. No press required, it basically just falls off. Interesting find, by the way.
It's number 3 in the diagram.

Re: New guy looking
I would recommend that you go with the 150, you get like higher horsepower, like 1.8hp. The non LED headlights are fine. I just prefer the newer technology of LED, they consume less electrical power. I looked for a 150 to legally be able to hop on the highway and not be afraid of a ticket as I have ...

Re: Tire Inflator Blew My 5A Fuse
The guts of the slime air pump look like this amazon air pump. I'm thinking of getting rid of the shell and add some guard for the pump mechanism. That way it takes less space in the trunk. https://www.amazon.com/Portable-Mini-Air-Compressor-Motorcycle/dp/B017GQHPIK/ref=pd_rhf_se_p_img_3?_encoding=U...

The honda groms had a fuel pump recall a couple times. Could it be your fuel pump?

Re: Tire Inflator Blew My 5A Fuse
That's the one I bought. I just checked the fuse I installed on the aftermarket accessory socket and I have a 20 amp fuse.
I think I tested it with a cigaret lighter and it held up fine, when I installed it that is.

Re: Tire Inflator Blew My 5A Fuse
Thanks for sharing, as I bought one of those small slime air pumps. I got the $20 dollar one though. Which one do you have? I got a flat today and I was outside of town, barely made it to a gas station to patch my tire. I had just bought a tire plug kit, but no inflator kit. Now I have a pump and an...

Re: My attempt to retrofit the bigger OEM fuel tank into 201
I like my PCX, but if it could do 70mph like my first scooter did, a Yamaha Riva 170. Although I never verified the accuracy of the speedometer on the Riva. Well at least my scoot will have more range. Your lost top speed hypothesis makes sence, normal wear. I haven't checked my variator recently, I...

Re: Top case suggestions
I went with the Honda OEM rack and a 47 liter Bestem top box. The top box is a copy of an older Givi design. It's not the same quality as a Givi, but it works. The trunk fits loosely to its mounting plate, so that anoying. Only thing that I would do differently is to purchase an aftermarket rack ins...

Pardon the slight topic deviation, but has anyone found out how many miles (or kilometers) the PCX will go after the last fuel gauge bar starts blinking, if using in the city (not highway)? I have 2017 PCX with a 2.1-gallon tank (7.9 liters). My last bar just started blinking at 202.4 miles on the ...

Checked earlier today and it was 111.1 MPG (Miles Per U.S. Gallons). When I tell people the gas mileage it makes them laugh and they shake their heads like it sounds to good to be true but it is true. The PCX computer doesn't lie. How do you ride? Those numbers are great. The highest I have g...
