Re: Potential New Owner of a PCX125 (UK - Manchester)
I bought from Rochdale Honda as well. I've only had the initial purchase and first service, but they've been great so far. I get a good vibe from them.

Re: Potential New Owner of a PCX125 (UK - Manchester)
I would be nervous about going on the motorway with my PCX. Apart from that, it's great for all the reasons you outlined. I'm also near Manchester and bought mine on the same deal you'very seen. No regrets. You should definitely consider fitting a taller screen.

Re: Riding year-long and can't imagine it being the other wa
I ride my bike all year round for my daily commute. Here in Northern England it's rare for the temperature to fall much below freezing and we might get a week or two's snow per year. If there's a very heavy frost or a decent snowfall then I leave the bike behind. Otherwise, it's on with the waterpro...

Re: PCX design flaw--IMHO
Someone mention the instinctive foot down, and in my limited experience it would take a lot to override that instinct. I've a sneaking suspicion that FlyingZonker may have done stuck out his foot, in which case the size of the footboard becomes irrelevant.

Re: an accident report--my baby now has a cracked body panel
I understand the point about taking more responsibility because of more vulnerability, but I would still have taken issue with the other guy. Sounds to me like there could still have been an accident even if you were going slowly... you creep round the blind corner just as he emerges and bang. Glad ...

I live in Bury and I also work in Salford. 8 mile commute each way and my PCX is perfect for it.
Question - with the tank bag and seat bag both on the bike - how on Earth do you get on/off the thing?

I like the look of trikes more than I like riding them. I've never gotten used to the fact that they don't lean.

Re: From Honda motorcycles to a Honda scooter
It's the smaller wheels that give you noticably less grip. See this a lot and I would suggest that it is complete and utter nonsense. The diameter of the wheel has nothing whatsoever to do with available grip. Grip is determined by the coefficients of friction of the tyre compound and road surface ...

Re: From Honda motorcycles to a Honda scooter
I downsized from a Kawasaki ER6 650cc to a PCX125 and there are adjustments to be made. I don't trust the PCX anything like as much in corners or the wet. It's the smaller wheels that give you noticably less grip. Plus, the PCX's ride is harsher - I certainly feel the bumps more. That's not a compla...

Mine goes in for its 600 mile service tomorrow. Averaging just under 100 miles a week on it.

Re: PCX 150 in the UK?
Great pic.
I, too, used to have a C90 back when I was young. That's brought back some memories.
I also used to have a Honda Space 125. That was a hilarious scoot with a pop-up headlight!

Re: Newbie and his bike
The mirrors do catch the screen right at the end of the swing. I haven't managed to readjust the mirrors to fix this and so I may need to reangle the handlebars. Or I might not bother because it's not really a problem.
The screen makes riding so much more comfortable.

Re: Newbie and his bike
I've replaced the standard short windscreen with a Fabbri screen. Just over £90 including delivery from Italy. It makes such a difference now the colder weather has arrived in the UK.

Re: Economy
I'm not using the idle stop. That's for two reasons - 1) I want the engine to run in before the first 600 mile service. 2) The commute can be a lot of stop-start which would be a drain on the battery. Someone's pointed out that the latest PCX monitors the battery and disables the idle stop if the dr...

Re: Economy
No matter, anyway. I've just reduced my fuel economy by fitting a big Fabbri screen (pic when I get daylight). I can't very well be fussy about fluctuating MPG when I've made the bike about as aerodynamic as a wall!
