Got Genuine Honda part replacement of bolt today (only $2) :P . Definitely used the anti-seize lubricant (thanks for that recommendation) and installed it (not too tight!). Everything is "right as rain" again.

The other half of the bolt is now out thank goodness. One of my buddies from our scooter club in Calgary came over this morning and got it out using a bolt extractor. He had to first drill into the broken 1/2 that was recessed in the hole (to flatten the head), then reverse drilled into the head, th...

Everything went fine with changing the oil until I tried to remove 8mm bolt holding rear brake line (see original photo on this topic) in order to access the 17mm bolt for the oil filter. The bolt sheared in the middle of it and I am left with about 1/2 the bolt stuck inside with no clear way to get...

Thanks for the reply. It was right and properly seized ... I did turn it the proper direction but the bolt sheared. I received a suggestion from someone in my scooter group to try a bolt extractor called "grab-it". I will see if that works and if not then get professional help. Really plea...

Sheared bolt - holding rear brake line

I was trying to access the oil filter and when I was first removing the 8mm bolt holding the rear brake line it sheared (on left side of bike near the 17mm bolt for air filter). Any ideas what to do? It appears just to hold the rear brake line up and out of the way. :cry:
