Re: powerbypcx seats?
Here's what the AirHawk2 Medium Cruiser looks like on a PCX seat without the hump. As you can see, this cushion is for the driver only. The cushion is attached with 2 straps and I have had no problems with the cushion moving around or becoming unattached during longer distance rides. Hope this helps...

Re: powerbypcx seats?
Here's a couple of pics, I kept looking and found the in-progress shot I was looking for. http://johnosteen.smugmug.com/EverydayPictures-1/Note-Uploads/i-fKXkJwS/0/M/20121123_150422-M.jpg This pic shows one package of the EPO Putty, basically it was used to cover the holes. http://johnosteen.smugmug...

Re: powerbypcx seats?
Just noticed you were in Maynard, I was living in Littleton for a few years (moved July 2011) while I worked at Hanscom. Are you able to get in any ride time with the weather or are you mostly parked for the winter?

Re: powerbypcx seats?
I'm using the AirHawk2, medium cruiser. This size fits the PCX seat very well. I paid 84USD via Amazon to have it shipped to Florida and then shipped to Thailand with a periodic shipment I get every couple of months with essentials I can't get here in Thailand. In the longrun, it cost me about 100US...

Re: powerbypcx seats?
I'll snap a picture of what it looks like tomorrow, I went through a phone swap recently and it looks like I lost the "work in progress" pictures. I tried many of the seats like the ones at powerbypcx and found most of them to still have a hard/restrictive pit for the driver to sit in. Mos...

Re: powerbypcx seats?
I had the same problem after having my seat hump removed and seat recovered. The remaining hump mount posts were causing a problem (back pain) after dealing with it I decided they had to go. My seat guy here cut the hump posts out and covered the holes with seat vinyl and was not totally satisfied, ...

Re: What sort of mileage are you guys at??
I just hit 8000 km here in Thailand and over this time the MPG has seemed to creep up a bit (happy with this) since the purchase in March. Also gone through mods to the tires, wheels, shocks, exhaust twice (back to the original), seat twice, windscreen & GPS/Phone mounts. I think I'm done with t...

Re: Split tire
The first 7,500 PCX150s delivered in Thailand had a tire recall issued due to a manufacturing defect discovered shortly after the PCX150 release in March 2012. The issue was with how the layers of the tires were manufactured, cured or vulcanized (not sure of the correct term). The possible result wa...

Re: My PCX150-White/Red
ehdihou, The next plan is minimal. Another seat modification, I want to cut the plastic hump seat mounts out of the underside of the seat and re-pad the seat a bit to see if this will make a difference on short rides. I have gone to an AirHawk air cushion for the longer multi-day rides and would not...

Re: Where to get a phone holder for your pcx
I use a couple of solutions from http://www.rammount.com. I'm using their mounts for both GPS and Iphone, the Iphone mount is the generic x-grip design and will fit a multitude of phones or devices easily. Here's how the x-grip looks with the Iphone, http://www.hondapcx.org/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=4...

Re: My PCX150-White/Red - A Few More Changes
A few more changes have been made, here are the latest updates and comments about each. YSS Shocks - I decided to change the stock shocks out for a set of the YSS Shocks because I kept bottoming out of a couple of large speed bumps in our housing development and got concerned about the long term dam...

Re: Honda Windsheild Windscreen for Sale
How does this screen mount? I'm seeing 4 exposed mounting screws/bolts that don't appear to use the standard PCX screen mount points. I'm a little disappointed if this is an actual Honda PCX aftermarket accessory. Here in Thailand have been struggling to get a GIVI screen and actually thought about ...

Re: My PCX150-White/Red
Cascanciu, I started my project following Maddiedog's detailed how-to guide and decided mid-way to not mount the connector in the dash. In hind-sight I realized I only needed to remove the seat, gas lid, battery cover & the moulding where mounted the socket. There's a small hole near the bottom ...

Re: Clock for the PCX
Ok, I'll bring this back to the OP's topic. The clock is a outstanding quality addition to the PCX. But with hat being said, I have not worn a watch in over 12 months and really don't need to be anywhere or be on time. Retirement changes one's perspective. But, if I was comutting to work i would buy ...

Re: Xena Disc Lock Alarm (XX6 model)
I have one too. Have not had the same problem of going off after 5 minutes. I have had a problem of it alarming in a hard rain storm. It drove the hotel security guys crazy until I removed it. It's another deterrent or irritant for someone who wants to mess with your ride. The manual gives tips on h...

Re: Front Brake Failure - Temporary
Ok, my problem is resolved. New disk, new pads & new brake fluid. This was done in conjunction with the 5000 km service including an oil change and a host of checks and adjustments as needed. Total damage - 1125 Thai baht. Not a bad price. Oil changes here cost 110 + 5 Thai bath. Oil and o-ring ...

Add rear disk brake
Remove throttle/speed limiter-so what if I blow it up!
Make the colors universal- the Japan blue does look nice.

Re: Front Brake Failure - Temporary
Yes, I would agree my situation was a result of an extreme condition and I doubt everyone would experience the same set of circumstances if they are lucky and careful. I don't think there's a problem with the PCX brake system overall, I just got into a bad situation the bike (or any other automatic ...
