Re: How far can a PCX go on a tank?

I plan on doing this a few more times to get some sort of average. While I went 306 km on this tank, this does not factor in the discrepancies in the odometer accuracy. I need to do a calibration with the odometer and GPS to get an accurate miles covered. But for the purpose intended the 306 (or the...

How far can a PCX go on a tank?

I have been wanting to know how far I could really go on a tank of gas. To pull this off, I started carrying 2L of gas once I hit 200km on the odometer and thought I would make it to about 250K before I ran the tank dry. To my surprise I made it a bit further before the engine began to sputter and m...

Re: My PCX150-White/Red

Not all bikes here are for enjoyment, many are work horses. One has quite the overhanging load, the other has 5 bags of ice-3 on the back and 2 being straddled. I guess he's got the closest thing to "Air Con" as one can get on a scooter. http://johnosteen.smugmug.com/EverydayPictures-1/Not...

Re: My PCX150-White/Red

I try to ride with a filter or one of the local "Ninja" head socks with a padded filter when possible, Here in Chaing Mai they normally burn the remnants of the rice harvest twice a year for the next planting. The rice burn this time of the year lingers with the additional mountain burns t...

Re: My PCX150-White/Red

As much as I enjoy just taking a ride it is getting a bit unhealthy during the smokey season. The annual burning in the region is in full swing and there's not much the government can do about the problem. The Rain Making airplanes are in the process of creating a "Black Hole technique" to...

Re: powerbypcx seats?

First, I have not been in the PowerbyPcx shop but I have been into a few other shops around Thailand. Here are some of the observations I have had. Many of the aftermarket seats for sale are original factory seats that have been recovered minus the hump, others are made with a smooth seat pan and wo...

Re: Dasshreddar's PCX/Ruckus Hybrid

Thanks for the link, the price seems reasonable when compared to the prices of non-copy exhausts here in Thailand. My dealer today had finally priced the Mugen exhaust available directly from Honda and it was 26K Thai Baht. I would much rather have this one barring some crazy import fees to get it i...

Re: Dasshreddar's PCX/Ruckus Hybrid

Maybe something like this google search: https://www.google.com/search?q=Takegawa+Silent+Sport+Muffler&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&aq=t&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-a You might have to get a head pipe crafted since the part is for a PCX125, but from the looks of your skill...

Re: Convenience/bag hook

I'm using the RAM handlebar mounts without the GPS or mobile phone brackets. Works great and can handle a run to the local market or convenience store. I've also used them to hang a camera bag.

Re: My PCX150-White/Red

The wheels are spec"d for the pcx. "spec'd" by whom? Honda? Manufactured to what standard?[/quote] GN2, does it really matter. Would any correct answer satisfy your curiosity? I seriously doubt it!! I don't wish to debate anything with you, sort of counter-productive to life in gener...

There's a bit of off topic responses that could offend new or older members. There's only a few who enjoy doing this type activity. It's like they enjoy mucking u...

GN2, Relax on the warranty. I looked at it, thankfully the page numbers were in english as for the rest I have sent it to my translator. It did have one comment in english. It said to ignore the off topic comments from GN2 for some reason and life would be happier. Not bad advice.

Re: My PCX150-White/Red

Honest advice is appreciated from anyone. The exhaust is not the problem, I have swapped back to the factory and the symptom is still present. MD, i agree, worth checking out the rollers. I suspect the problem is there or with that system. The wheels are spec"d for the pcx. Same ones powerbypcx...

Re: My PCX150-White/Red

GN2, this is Thailand. The dealer sold and installed the aftermarket wheels and tires and the change is sort of like swapping the tires and wheels on an auto that's within warranty-not a big deal. One has to remember Honda dealers here are not out to gouge you at every opportunity they can, hence th...

Re: My PCX150-White/Red

Just a couple of updates. I'm nearing 12,000 km on my PCX and I have noticed a couple of performance/maintenance issues as time goes on. Just wanted to check and see if anyone has noticed the same or had similar problems. 1. I had a noise coming from the rear end of the bike. Most noticeable when ro...

Re: powerbypcx seats?

Keep in mind this is Thailand. It cost me 45 USD to have the seat modified with additional foam and new cover. I believe his preference is to add a little style and also ensure a quality fit and appearance. The stitched panels helps the covering fit snug to the seat's foam shape. I think in a way th...

Re: powerbypcx seats?

depthman, "Red" stitching is quite common here not hard to come by. Plus, I don't think I could afford their seats and get it shipped here. Here's the guy who worked on my seat. Look at post #3, he gets a great deal of trade with the number of big bike riders passing through Chiang Mai. Th...
