Re: Riding in the dark
I hear ya Iceman. I live in a more rural area, but when I go into the city or even on some of the suburban roads, things change dramatically. There's one road on the edge of suburbia (and by edge, I mean houses on one side and corn fields on the other), that I use several times a week. This three mi...

Riding in the dark
Personally, I love a good night ride, especially right after dusk when it's dark but the glow of the sun can still be seen on the horizon. As is my habit, I blogged about it if anyone cares to read it. My question is, who else likes to ride at night and what do you most enjoy about it? http://scooti...

Re: oil change tutorial
I thought the reason for removing the oil filler cap was to allow air in to push most of the oil out - you need to remove it anyway so early is good, but you do not want any kind of vacuum slowing the process down. That is definitely one reason for it. The oil will still drain without removing the ...

If a mod can move this to the right place then, that would be most appreciated.

Re: Decisions, decisions...(new guy)
For myself, I sold a 150 and bought another. Did the big bike thing with a Honda Sabre, and for me, it's just too much bike. The PCX gives me a touring scooter feel, and even enough grunt for short hops at 55+ when necessary. It also gives superior fuel economy, which is a heeyoooge bonus. Kinda mak...

Re: which outlaw biker gang can I join with my pcx?
Why would anybody care what bikes we used to have? Other than having a PCX, they probably don't give a d*** what other bikes we currently own. Besides, what kind of person feels the need to list their bikes, anyway? ;) hehe, I see what you did there! :D As for me, I don't really care if other peopl...

oil change tutorial
I don't know if this has been done, but as part of my blog, I decided to do an oil change tutorial when I did my 600 mile service.

Installed rear rack/top case mount
I got my rear rack on Tuesday and finally had a chance to install it. This is the Honda top box mount, but I found it serves my purposes as a rear rack just fine. Made a little video of the process. Not sure if anyone else has, but I didn't see one. http://scootinfool.blogspot.com/2015/08/rack-em-up...

Re: Well my lovely PCX is no more. Rear ended at a stop ligh
As a result, I'm always looking in the mirror at lights and have an escape path mapped if it looks like somebody is not stopping. That's why it's a good idea to keep a manual transmission bike in gear while stopped (we had this discussion recently). Best, Bash "They're all out to get you."...

Re: Rain riding after dark
I have stock tires on my PCX and frequently ride in the rain. I take precautions. I find no fault in the tires. They work. And this is in crazy Bangkok traffic. Indeed, they are Dunlops. I found them to be capable, even in the wet. The only time I've had them slip was on gravel, and that's going to...

Re: Rain riding after dark
Interestingly enough, I've found the stock tires on mine to be adequate for rain riding. Of course, I'm always careful how quickly I take corners anyway, and I'll admit that the PCX requires slower cornering around sharp turns than my previous scooter, but I think that's more the characteristics of ...

Re: Well my lovely PCX is no more. Rear ended at a stop ligh
Yeek. Recover well. in those situations where someone "did not see" the rider, bike, red light, and so on, what they are really saying is that they were not paying attention. That he was going slow enough that you were not killed outright is, I suppose, a blessing of sorts. I know it's eas...

Rain riding after dark
Had a surprise ride home in the rain tonight. Prompted some thinking about safe riding in the rain in the dark.

Installation and review of Givi D322S windscreen
Got my new windscreen yesterday. I can say without a doubt that I like it a lot! Top it off, it was a cinch to install. Did a little Video blog.

Re: rack no drilling
You're not able to order the one from Japan? Where did you see this? It was on the Battlescooter forums. http://advrider.com/index.php?threads/honda-pcx-150.800709/page-75#post-26281172 I searched for the part number, and even had the Honda dealer here in Lancaster look it up. The only place I find...

Re: rack no drilling
Unfortunately, the rack I want is only available in Japan.
This is what I want:
I'm getting the Honda trunk base and will use it as a rack, but I'm not 100% happy with it.
