Re: PCX battery when engine is switched off.

Ok great. I will take the battery out just in case. Good to know I probs don't have to do that. The bike is only 4 months old. 1200 miles! ;)

Thanks again for your help guys.

Re: PCX battery when engine is switched off.

Ok cool... The negative is hard to get to though. Positive is just there as soon as you open the cover...

Shame.. I might just take the whole battery out.. Hope that doesn't mess up the bike... ;)

Re: PCX battery when engine is switched off.

Ok I will have a look at that... I use the bike most days to do about 12 miles so it should be fully charged. I will try unplugging the battery just in case. Doesn't matter if I unplug the positive or negative right? Or do I have to do both? I don't know much about these things so don't wanna mess a...

Re: PCX battery when engine is switched off.

It is a 2015 model and I have no alarms or anything. Do you know where I can find info about the drain?

I don't want to unplug the battery unless I have to.

Thanks for your help guys. Much appreciated.

PCX battery when engine is switched off.

Hi All, I will leaving the country for a month in December. Will my pcx battery be ok when I get back? Or do you think I will need someone to ride the scooter now and again to keep it running? How long do these batteries last normally? Don't want to come back to a dead scooter and have to use cables...

Re: Gas to put in my PCX 150

Guys, I use v power nitro + unleaded just now with octane rating 99. Lol. The engine is so much more responsive to the point I had to go back and check I put in unleaded. Not anything else. I personally highly recommended. Acceration is also much quicker. Maybe it was because I had below a half tank...

Re: Rear brake has too much free play

Hmmmm. I will just wait for the first service and mention it. The bike starts normally now. I think it was just the run in period. Great bike so far. Love it!

Re: Rear brake has too much free play

Hi Drew, thanks for the reply. If the rear brake is too loose, there is less chance of a rear wheel lock up right? Mine is too loose, not too tight. I did try tightening it but the engine wouldn't start. Maybe it's a safety feature. Lol. Hi Yak, I was told that if I don't service at 600 miles or 6 w...

Re: Rear brake has too much free play

He actually said the manual is wrong because pcx bikes are like that. Every bike is different. He did say service team will look at it on my first service. Any idea what the first service will entail? The 600 miles or 6 week mark.

Thanks

Re: Rear brake has too much free play

Yea. Back brake is almost non existent. It will slow you down in Cornering just about. Overall a great bike though. I am going to call my dealer about the free play. Hope they can tighten it up more. I tried tightening it from the rear wheel but the engine wouldn't ignite if I do that. I literally h...

Re: Rear brake has too much free play

hmmm ok, thanks for the tip. It started ok today.

What about the free play on the back brake? Have you guys tried tightening it from the rear wheel?

Took her out today, everything seems ok. Just wished the rear brake worked better. It slows you down but its really really weak.

Rear brake has too much free play

Hi All, I bought a brand new PCX last week and realised that the rear brake has too much free play (I have to hold it down about 2inches before the brake begins to engage. I tried tightening the brake from the rear wheel on the left hand side but if I tighten it the ignition doesn't start. Is this n...
