Re: How-To: Glove Box Lock

Hey, you could do this sort of lock on any model but not the same way. The 2015 model has an internal "lip" at the lock arm caught behind. as long as the lock arm can get behind a part of the body it'll work. you maybe could cut a channel in lieu of the internal lip.

Re: Looks like I'm here now

HaHa! cant keep a good man down. Only fear and money; I say bollocks to both of them things! I'm at my happiest with two wheels it seems! I assure you I won't be doing any high speed over takings. Although I know I didn't do anything to my knowledge incorrectly during my accidents, I still have cha...

Looks like I'm here now

So I've got back on two wheels again. I know a lot of you will say this is a bad decision as I've got 2 spills to my name, but needs must. I've decided to abandon the scooter world for now. Proud owner of a Yamaha YBR 125. That's pretty much it for now, I'm going to take it easy and I've changed my ...

Re: Cosmetic cap removal....

Don't know if people are still needed help but when I did mine I used a bolt remover. drilled the centre of the bolt and used a bolt remover with a reverse thread. easily removed and the old caps are still usable. My colleague and I did it in work on lunch took 10 mins of drilling the centre and the...

Re: Crashed last week on A406

I was breaking, maybe too much on front break. I'm fine, only one big bruise on my arse. Scooter fine, few scratches only. I did make it to work that day, so no big problems. Thinking about changing tyres now. I think I managed to escape without injures as I was holding to the bike to it stopped. D...

Re: R.I.P Fonda

You can be as careful as you like, but you can't legislate for a twerp in a white van pulling straight out on you as happened to me last Wednesday. Bike looks in sorry state, my leg is in plaster and I'm struggling just to get around. The guy who pulled out on me was on his way after the police had...

Re: R.I.P Fonda

If you live in areas with very bad roads as Seph has shown us, then perhaps forgetting a scooter and getting a geared bike is better. Indeed larger CC bikes such as 350 onwards are safer than 125cc if the rider rides with care and attention and just doesn't push things - they have much better brake...

Re: R.I.P Fonda

Road surfaces are not the issue... If I set out on a known road , and go down 2 times...I would not be able to find fault with the road. When I ride at 03°F I imagine there might be some road surface issues. If I then put my scooter down on some ice...it is not the fault of the ice or the road. It ...

Re: R.I.P Fonda

Yeah that looks like the normal type of patchy road job you get used to seeing in the UK i'm afraid, any heavy rain or other slippery stuff especially on the patched up parts can be deadly. In the village I used to live in, the whole area looked a lot like that, even riding a bicycle was hazardous ...

Re: R.I.P Fonda

Yeh, I don't like the look of that road at all. The camber, the shiny surface and can imagine it being very slippery in the rain with diesel. I commute into Liverpool every day and when it rains, the amount of diesel patches right the way along my entire journey is scary. Glad you're ok. Thanks, yo...

Re: R.I.P Fonda

Surprised no-one has mentioned the huge diesel spill in the picture. I figured that was scooter blood... Not all of it. There was a significant amount of fuel on the road. There always is, either than or mud/cow sh*t. or like I said before debris. Silly using the road but It's a short cut to work.

Re: R.I.P Fonda

I don't even like the look of that glossy strip running down the road... heck is that? Never encountered such a patch in all my driving experience. What sort of underground pipeline or service cable has been buried that could have caused for such a irregularity in the payment? Call the county and g...

The gradient of the road and heavy rain is all I can imagine.
