Re: Recall on 2014 FORZA

Was at large dealership yesterday to look around when one of the customers came up to me and asked if I knew that the brake lights were not working. I immediately found a salesman and traded the Forza for a Burgman 400. The 60 mile ride home was quite enjoyable.

Re: ERMAX

I can see that the bike is a Suzuki, but which one? Bergman 200?? It looks a bit like the PCX in the front. As for the Erma windshield, I have to wonder how well it does its job, since there is a chunk missing where your head goes. It looks a bit short too. Otherwise, nice bike... oh, we are suppos...

Re: 50cc or 150cc

For an urban setting, I go for the 50cc. For anything else, a 125-150cc scooter for a new rider. If she was my daughter, she would also need to pass a motorcycle safety course. As a parent, I would still worry about her safety but with an ATGATT attitude and safety training, I'd feel so much better....

Re: Forza Qestions

IMO the Forza works just great out on the highway. Mine has a windshield and upgraded rear shocks and a backrest and it's really comfy on the road. It keeps up with traffic with no problems. It definitely has a cruiser riding position, though -- lean back, feet forward. That takes a little getting ...

Re: Recall on 2014 FORZA

Now that, is a class move. I've used auto service center who provided a free loaner. I'd be happy if my Honda dealer would give me a free ride home when my scooter is in for service as they don't even have a place for customers to relax while at the dealer.

Re: Best way of getting rid of tailgaters ?

I think you are better off if you can remain calm and slowly decelerate (which will help minimize the impact if the jerk rear-ends you) and move to the side of the road as soon as it is safe to do so and let them pass. Hitting the breaks could cause the tailgaiter to loose control while attempting t...

Re: my new 2016 honda metro

My first scooter was a Met as well - a fantastic choice for first time riders or city dwellers. I much prefer the single color over the two color versions Honda usually made available to us here in the states. Welcome Tommy.

Re: This Is Why We Ride - Great Commercial From Taiwan

Thanks for sharing the video. Riding to me is a great means for communing with nature, the smells, breezes, sounds, seeing/open to more that's happening around me than I ever get while in the car. Riding is invigorating and makes me feel younger.

There is an article in the Feb 6 Philly Voice regarding the proposed sale. Sorry, tried entering the URL but the link I entered points to a 404 error.

Jonny,

What size box and sockets are needed? I'd like to make sure that I have appropriate tools available before buying new shocks.

Thanks

Re: Forza owner thinking Burgman 400 ??

Hey Fish, I agree whole heartedly with you regarding the Burgman colors over the last few years. That said, I'm a former Burgman owner (2011) who is not fully sold on the Forza. Let me know if you would like to trade.

Re: First Ride - Last Ride

I was able to ride year round when I lived in Virginia and miss that here in Ohio. It is supposed to be drier and warmer this winter, but still might not be able to ride again until March. Even if the weather does warm up enough for riding (>30 degrees) this winter, not sure I will given the amount ...

First Ride - Last Ride

We had an unseasonably warm day yesterday in north east Ohio so was able to get out and ride for the first time in 2016. Snowed this morning and forecasted to be below normal temps with more snow this week, so expect that this was my last ride of the winter.

Re: Happy New Year!

Ha! We had a cat that used to leave skid marks on the carpet. When the cat died, changed out the carpet for hardwood.

As far as riding, it's snowing today. I love living in this part of the country, but on days like this, I am jealous of those who still have good riding weather.
