Re: AdMore lights on a GiVi E55 Maxia

Well, the Admore 5-pin connector lasted just under a year. The plastic turned brittle & cracked, so it would disconnect itself at random times. And the two pins that passed current to the left side quit doing so. Even if I managed to get the connector to stay connected, only the right-side light...

Re: Rear shock options

At this point, I am about to order YSS shocks. The Malossis are now toast, and on any sort of bump there is a huge, loud "whack" noise from the rear of the bike unless I have a hundred pound or so on the pillion or in the luggage. This is with only 11K on those shocks. So, we'll see what h...

Re: high windscreen or deflector? 2019 Forza 300

I put the Givi adjustable screen on my 2014 300 several years ago. Unlike some other farkles, I have never regretted it.

Re: ‘14 Forza intermittent starting problem

My kill switch died twice under warranty and once again afterwards. When the bike wouldn't start I would flip the kill switch back and forth a few times, press down on it (as if trying to shove it down into the cluster housing), and then start up. The first time it started acting this way once the b...

AdMore lights on a GiVi E55 Maxia

I just posted my saga of getting this to work in the Tech Help section. http://hondapcx.org/viewtopic.php?f=22&t=11766

If it doesn’t help anyone else, I feel better for having put it into the ether.

AdMore lights on a GiVi E55 Maxia

When I stepped down from touring on a GL1800 to simply commuting on the NSS300, I knew I would (nevertheless) want more storage space and attachment points for strapping cargo to the pillion. I chose a GiVi Maxia E55 bag with the brake light kit, passenger backrest, and luggage rack. The rack serves...

Re: Forza 300 battery tender lead access

OK, here are some pictures that I hope will illuminate what I did. First, here are the leads (with fuse) attached to the battery: 1 leads and fuse on battery.jpeg Now, here you can see where I cut a notch in the flip-up portion of the batter cover, and you can see the sort of connectors that came wi...

Re: Forza 300 battery tender lead access

Posting a few words takes a minute. Going out, taking pictures, resizing them to fit the restrictions on this forum, and getting them posted.... That takes a while longer. If people want me to do that, I will. Otherwise, my lunch break is about over and I have to get back to work.

Laziness. Too many other projects. Why take the effort to shoot pix & post if no one cares?

Re: Kick stand spacer/ pad

I’ve been using one of those on this bike since 2015. Don’t have to keep up with a soda can or other type of toss-down pad. And given some of the places that I park my poor, abused steed, this has been a necessity.

Re: Forza 300 battery tender lead access

I took out that battery cover, cut a notch in it, and bolted the standard battery tender two-wire connector onto the top of the battery, then ran the wire out of the notch I had cut. I added about a 6' extension and leave the charger in my house with just its tail sticking out under a locked window ...

Probably dumb headlight move

At just over 12,500 miles, my left low beam burned out. This evening I made the probably stupid move of installing a pair of Osram Nightbreaker 60/55w bulbs instead of the stock 35/35w bulbs. I’ll let you all know when this experiment fails horribly and destroys my electrical system. Pax et bonum, M...

Re: Rear-view mirrors, dead angle

Mirrors from a CB500 fit and extend out more. The ones I installed work great. I have no idea why Honda keeps making PCX mirrors that do not extend out far enough. I did the same thing, and bought them from Honda Direct Line back in 2015. You can look up the bike and hit the fische for the parts &a...

Re: Headlight adjustment

Oh, wait. I think I found it. It’s not actually a screw. OK, I’ll go back to that wall with tape &c and try again tomorrow evening after the sun goes down.

Does one have to do this on both sides independently? Or does the right side suffice for the whole unit?

Re: Headlight adjustment

Well, I feel like an idiot. I have consulted both the owner’s manual and the shop manual (basically the same diagram, but better labels in the owner’s), but I simply can not find the headlight aim adjustment screw up under there. I can not see anything that looks like what they are trying to show me...

Re: Jerky and Stalling

Mine was hesitating and stalling while rolling along the surface streets recently. We had had many weeks of nearly constant rain, and it felt to me the way a car with a dirty fuel filter does. So I filled up and added some top-end/injector cleaner. The problem went away immediately. My fuel efficien...
